Inuyasha Disappears

The night was brisk and clear. Inuyasha and Kagome were out for a stroll. Naraku had been destroyed, but none of his enemies were responsible for his demise. Well, at least not any enemy that he knew of. His own youkai began attacking him one day. They were tired of taking orders from a worthless half-breed. The full youkai were tired of being called a half-breed, and the rebelled causing his death.

No one knew what happened to the jewel it, seemingly, vanished. It was plausible that one of the youkai had wished on it. Kagome had lost all the jewel shards, and Kagura had taken the two from Kouga. So it was possible that the jewel had been complete, but could a youkai really make an unselfish wish? The group didn't think so, and for this reason alone they continued searching for the jewel.

Inuyasha was walking with Kagome. He knew that Kagome would not stay as she was forever. If he wanted to be with her he would have to admit his feelings for her. Something that he had been planing for awhile, now. It was the perfect setting. He was satisfied with it, and hopefully, so was Kagome. He sat down looking in the sky. Kagome sat down beside in him, content in the silence.

"Kagome, I know that the jewel may still be out there, but you shouldn't put your entire life on hold for it," Inuyasha said as he looked at her.

Kagome gasped. "What do you mean by that?" she asked not daring to hope. She wished with her entire soul that he wanted her. However, she was not stupid. She knew that he didn't he himself had said so many times.

"I mean that," Inuyasha gave up with trying to be subtle, "would you become my mate?" Inuyasha was almost afraid once he saw the shock in her eyes. The fear of rejection turned into fear for his life when he saw her eyes.

They weren't the normal blue that he was used to. No, they were now I deep blood red. 'Kagome what has happened to you?' Inuyasha thought as he began to back away. Something was not right with the girl he wished to take as his mate.

Kagome didn't see anything. She was being blocked out of her mind. Blocked by something no one knew was even there, her youkai. It was repulsed! How dare a mere half-breed ask to become her mate? She would not accept a weak mate. She took over their body, not allowing her master any awareness. She knew that if she had she would be stopped. "Fool, I would never allow my master to take someone as weak as you! I am a youkai, and I will only accept a full youkai as my mate, leave now," the youkai growled out angrily.

Inuyasha was shocked, Kagome was human! She couldn't have a youkai, it was simply unheard of. "What kind of trickery is this?" Inuyasha demanded as he scanned the area. Trying to sense any youkai energy, but he felt nothing.

"There is not trickery I tire of your antics. Your soul is now mine," the youkai said coldly. I small orb came out of Inuyasha when the youkai touched him with her claw. It quickly turned into a pretty hair comb.

"Now you are something useful," the youkai said with glee. She caught the comb before it fell to the floor and put it in her pocket. She went back to camp falling asleep before relinquishing her control. In the morning there would be chaos, and the last thing the youkai did before hiding was grin, sadistically. She loved causing chaos.
