"SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT!" Kagome yelled as sh ran into the woods. "Inu-Yasha has gone to far this time. I can't believe he would do this to me! I thought we were friends." she yelled though inside her heart was in a million pieces. Kagome stopped and looked around the woods. "Great I'm lost." she whispered. "Ugh... I'M SO STUPID!"

"Do you always talk to your self Miko?" a cold baritone voice whispered in her ear. Kagome realized that voice belonged to Inu-Yasha's half-brother.

"Sesshomaru" Kagome whispered then spun around only to collide with a beautiful, silver hair Inu-Taiyoukia. She had to look up, since she only came to his chest, and saw he didn't have the usual cold emotionless eyes but actually there was a twinkle of amusement. He could smell the half-breed on her. "Miko, why is it you are not with the half-breed?" Kagome walked over to a near by bolder and sat down. Sesshomaru sat on the one next to her. He realized he could not smell fear in her scent but rather she smelled of anger, joy, and sadness. He raised an elegant silver eyebrow signaling for her to answer his question. Kagome let a sigh escape her lips. "Well it all started when Inu-yasha took me into the woods."

*Flash back*

SLAP!

"Hentai!" Sango yelled as she hit Miroku over the head.

"Okaa-san?"

"Yes Shippo." Kagome replied

"Will Aunt Sango and Miroku ever get along?"

"Yes and then Miroku will be Uncle Miroku." Kagome said causing Sango to blush and Miroku to get a lecherous grin on his face.

"Okaa-san?"

"Yes Shippo."

"Will I ever have an Otou-san?"

"Eventually Shippo." Kagome said as she ventured into her thoughts. She was already 21 and the Shikon no tama had not been completed, Naraku's attacks were becoming more frequent, and Inu-Yasha was starting to act very strange. She had given up on him long ago when she saw him with KiKyou. Now she and Inu-Yasha were friends but he was starting to get a little to friendly and didn't seem to take the hints she was giving him that she didn't have any interest in him any more.

She was brought from her thoughts when she heard somebody say her name. "Um.. Kagome?" She turned and saw inu-Yasha.

"Yeah Yasha?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Ok. Sango-nee-chan, can you put Shippo to bed please?"

"Sure Kagome-chan." Before Kagome could take another step Inu-Yasha picked her up bridal style and took her deep into the woods. He stopped in a small clearing and sat her down. "So what did you want to talk to me..." Kagome was cut off when Inu-Yasha forcefully claimed her lips. A couple months ago Kagome would have been over joyed to kiss him but she realized that she didn't truly love him. She tried to push him away but only stumbled on a rock and hit her head causing her world to go black.

*End Flash back*

"When I woke up I was in a cave and there was a fire going. Once Inu-Yasha realized I had come to he... he..." Kagome started to sob. Sesshomaru pulled her onto his lap and said soothing nothings to her. He had realized not to long ago that she was not some weak nengen but a strong, caring miko.

"Kagome I want to help you, but you have to tell me what happened."

"He tried to rape me." She mumbled into his chest. Even with his sensitive hearing he had to strain to hear her and when he did he hated what he heard. Sesshomaru growled and unconsciously pulled her closer. Kagome's eyes widened at the close contact. Sesshomaru noticed her slight fear and he didn't like the taste it left on his tongue so he purred trying to calm her down. She felt the soft vibration in his chest and it soothed her though she did not know why. She snuggled closer to him and fell asleep. He noticed her even breaths and picked her up bridal style to take her to his castle where that bastard could do her no harm. Kagome woke up a couple hours later and noticed the sun was starting to rise. She looked around and realized she was in Sesshomaru's arms in the air. She looked sown and then clung to his chest. 'Is he laughing at me?' She thought when she felt his chest vibrate. "Are you laughing at me?!" She half yelled as her face blushed with anger but mostly embarrassment.

She saw the castle in the distance and when they landed her mouth dropped to the ground. "Sesshomaru is this your castle?"

"Yes and I'm sure Rin is going to love to see you in 3, 2, 1.."

"Kagome-chan!"

"Okaa-san!'' Kagome was on the ground and when she realized who she had been tackled by she was so happy.

"Shippo what are you doing here?" Kagome asked.

"Sesshomaru-sama sent someone to get me. He said you would be here and that you were okay. Inu-Yasha tried to get him to tell him where you where but he wouldn't. Okaa-san why are you here? Did Inu-Yasha hurt you again?"

"Yes Shippo but it's okay Sesshomaru-sama helped me." Shippo looked over Sesshomaru and he knew that Sesshomaru would not hurt his Okaa-san and that he would keep her safe.
