Preamble

Hello! This is a story in progress. I hope to add at least one new chapter a week.

When I first started this story, I had no idea about japanese culture or most of the words used in the dialog of many mangas and stories. To help out others who have similar problems, here is a list of all the words you might find. (If anyone sees anything wrong or missing, please let me know so I can correct it!)

aiken = pet dog

aikenka = lover of dogs

aishiteiru = I love you (to which response is Watashi mo = I too)

Doushite- Why

gama = toad

Hai- Yes

hakama = a style of billowy pants often worn by samuri

hanyou = half demon

hentai = pervert

hiraikotsu = Sango's bone boomerang

houshi = monk

iie- No

inu = inuyasha's family, dog demons

Inu-no-Taishou = Inuyasha and Sesshy's father

jaki = miasma

kami = god

Kazaana = Miroku's Windtunnel

Kaze no Kizu = Inuyasha's windscar attack

kitsune, kitsune yokai = fox, fox demon

koibito = boyfriend/girlfriend

Koi wa shian no hoka = love is without reason

kurohyou = panther

miko = priestess

name-neesan = sister

Ofuda = paper charm (Miroku's paper talismans)

okaa-san = mother (I'm sure this is the wrong tense, but it's most often used as far as I've seen)

Onegai- Please/I'm begging you

onna = human woman

name-sama = denotes respect, as to a lord or adult

Sengoku Jidai = time/era of civil wars

Shakujou =Miroku's staff

Shikon no Tama = Jewel of Four Souls

Shikon no Kakera = jewel shards

taijiya = demon slayer

taiyokai = great demon

tora = tiger

youkai or yokai = demon

youki = demonic presence, aura
