Just a little reminder about our rules & ratings:

Yes, they're horribly strict. Yes, they make no sense when compared with other sites, especially AO3. Yes, no one else in the UNIVERSE makes a story MA for really graphic swear words or graphic violence - but we do.

As it states in the Ratings Tutorial under Fanfiction Help on the Forum, we do this because people have been known to pull small sites like ours down for "pornography," whether written or in graphic form. We have few ways to censor our stories to keep minors out, so the best we can do is alert them that they are NOT allowed to read the stuff. If they read it anyway, that's on them and their parents. If we catch them, we'll ban them from the site.

We are very small, depend on donations to fund our web hosting, and cannot afford the lawsuits that would ensue if we didn't accurately, and in minute detail, rate our stories.

So... yeah... silly stuff, and it makes some authors see red, but it's what I feel we need to do to keep the site up and running. Everyone, you all have my deepest gratitude for your patience with our foibles!!!
