I don't know really what to say, Jas. As I picked up from where I had left off, I could do nothing but cry for Kagome. It has taken me more than an hour really, to get through this. My eyes just kept blurring so much, it was hard to continue and at one point when Kagome was falling but felt nothinf but the blood in her mouth and she thought death was soon to come, I, too, thought that it would also. Even when Sesshoumaru had her in his arms, I thought that perhaps if she were to die, he would have to use tenseiga to revive her.

Even still, there's a chance she may not live. If there are internal injuries, the chances are slim. If he were to mate her and exchange blood, would she be able to fight off these dire injuries before she dies? I don't even know if you're going with the concept that most writers do, that when they mate, they exchange blood thus tying their lives together for eternity.

When you made the remark about if she was defiled; raped, that he would have no recourse but to turn her away. Those times were most brutal in ways that I cannot believe, yet alone condone. How can a mere woman fight that of a stronger man or beast taking her virginity? She's the one that is punished and turned out of her community while the rapist just goes on with his life as if what he did was all her fault, as if she agreed to it. I am happy that times have changed for the most part. I know proving rape is a difficult process but at least many cases are won and women aren't damned or shunned as they were then. You sure are making good use of the history of the time period and I was also happy that his accusation of her being InuYasha's was answered. He has alot of atoning for if she lives through this and is still mentally stable enough to have a life without repercussions of what she went through.

At least, Sesshoumaru showed up just in time. You surely drew this torturous time out long enough for her savior to show up.  JEN

but back to the story...it was a nice chapter...i'm glad sesshoumaru had finally time to think a little bit more about his feelings for kagome....sigh...poor kagome i hope she gets well soon....hope her fingers won't get stiff or something like that....would not be so good for her carrier : /

More more more! There's so many things I need to know. Is Kagome going to get her powers back? How are they going to deal with all the issues still between them? Whose the mysterious lady that Kumano was talking to? Is she the one who sent the letter? Will Kagome wake up anytime soon? There are so many questions I need answers to!

I love a reflective Sesshoumaru. I like how you mention that Kagome has no sense of self becuase of the trauma she has experienced in trying to pretend to be someone without actually becoming that person. As Sesshoumaru says, she isn't the Kagome we once knew, and she's not Fuji. So who will she become? There's a lot of possibilities, and I know you will conquer them masterfully as you have the rest of the story.

Really quick update from the last chapter. I'm glad Kagome is safe (for now?) but now Sessho is super sad :( Hopefully his worry will make him come clean to her about his feelings!

Sesshoumaru to the rescue! Finally! Although, I'm wondering... in the midst of Sesshoumaru saving Kagome and Kumano being killed, did that unknown feminine presence just disappear? Because she wasn't mentioned again towards the end of the chapter. With all that was going on following Kumano's death, it would still be pretty difficult to not sense her presence.

Thank you for updating again so soon! And thanks for not letting Kagome be tortured even more. Although it is a bit gross to think about how the blood she tasted was Kumano's. Good job as always!

I'm so very glad that he got to her.  I'm dying to find out who the other demon is.  There's probably glaringly obvious clues that I should have been able to pick up on but since i read in such sparadic spurts that i tend to forget some of the finer details, but in the long run it keeps everything exciting for me.  looking forward to more.

Oh my goodness! I can't tell you how on the edge of my seat you've had me since -last- chapter! This has all just been so amazing! I can't find the words to describe it. I mean, I kept inching closer and closer as I read on that Kagome was about to die and trying to find out who the girl was and everything! Then to have Sesshoumaru just pop up! OH! Just like her hero! Ah... and that one sentense, "Even at this crucial juncture, she was still holding out for her hero." YOU GO GIRL! WOO! I just must say, I am in love w/your fic.
