Answering to your author’s note, I feel like Kagome’s development might be better shown in the sequel. I’ve definitely witnessed it here in this story but feel like Sesshomaru has really outshines her in that department. Especially because it’s so new for us to see him like this and experience his changes. 

Yes she is definitely immature.  I had to go back to the actual TV show to watch how she react. And you're right. She does used that kotodama beads alot, especially to get what she wants. But I can understand why she did it tho. She was still in school, need to take her exams so she can graduate,  and sometimes she really needed a freaking break from inuyasha and kikyo, but definitely inuyasha. And he added makes things worse by not giving her that much needed break. 

But I definitely keeps forgetting that she is young and pregnant with twins. She will have to grow up and become an adult.  She's not going to always get her way. And she can't get mad at him when he forces her to look at things a different type of way. But at least she knows that she is wrong. 

Sessohomaru came a long way a d he definitely starting to understand how to communicate and how to be patient, especially with Kagome and her tempers. 

I love your note in the end explaining both Sesshomaru and Kagome's character development both in the series and in your story. Of I have my own opinions about Sesshomaru at the end of the series that sort of differs from yours. But for the most part, I do agree with you. And I never expected him to treat Kagome the same way he treated Inuyasha. For this particular story, that would be wrong. And yeah, I can't stand a "perfect" Kagome either, where the only thing wrong with her is her temper and she often uses that temper to get what she wants. You make her more realistic. And yes, learning from your mistakes doesn't mean you won't make them again because nobody is perfect, despite what everyone wants to believe about these two characters. Anyway keep up the good work. I'm anxious to see how this ends, which I can tell is pretty soon.

Truth.  If he's had 9 centuries and not hit certain milestones on the emotional/psychological road, then I'm positive he'd see that as a strength and a humongous attribute of Kagome's and something to strive for.  What a sweet chapter.

I love how much thought you put into this. That of course is what makes this story so excellent. I think one thing that's clear about Sessh from the anime is that he was extremely stubborn about learning his lessons and admitting his mistakes, so...once he finally learned them, truely and deeply, he should have a great degree of grace & compassion for those he loves, and that's what you're showing here. Kagome is young, I often wonder if a relationship between them could ever be equal on that basis...except that her spirit and compassion pull towards her learning fast the things that Sessh took so long to learn. There is that careless temper, but she will learn how to control it over time. 

I watched Brené Brown's "Call to Courage" on Netflix this evening and thought about how you've done such a good job of modeling the concept of courage as it pertains to vulnerability in this story. If you haven't seen it, I'm quite sure you'd appreciate it. 

He can still run inhumanly fast, he'd be a blur.  She should have said human speed lol.  Poor Sesshoumaru!

This is supposed to be her earning forgiveness or learning? It still seems like him catering to her with her doing very little learning. She's already forgotten her talk with her mom that was supposed to be helpful. It's like he's not allowed to be angry with her, he always has to hurry and let it go so she doesn't feel guilty for more than a few minutes. I guess trust and actions bearing out your words is a bigger deal to me than others. Oh well, very curious about how the story wraps up. 

"would you rather have sex?". So adorable and sexy all at once.  What a great idea too, to get to know eachother.  And his confidence is great lol.

For what it's worth, I actually like your portrayal of Kagome in your story better than a lot of other stories. Yeah she can get a little whiny and selfish at times. But within the context of the story, it actually makes sense, and I don't find myself getting easily annoyed with her like in many other stories. At least we actually see her learning from her mistakes and she apologizes for them and tries not to make the same mistake again.

As for Sesshomaru, yeah communication is key. They both still have a lot to learn.

I kind of feel like everyone forgetting that kagome is pregnant, still so very young, and dealing with some terrible trauma. And not that sesshoumaru isnt dealing with trauma too, but he is far older then her as well as a bit more worldly.   Myself personally, being forced to do something or being restrained  when I'm not ready for that, triggers a fight or flight response. I've head butted my husband because he thought he could restrain me and make me talk when we were having an argument when I wasnt ready.  Sometime people need to step back and let others  come to the table when they want to,  not when it's good for them. 

 Was she in the right  for using to kotodama? Probably  not, but I feel like in the last  few scenes where he holds her face and makes her look at him isnt right either. 

  But living  diffrent lives breed diffrent reactions.
