Chapter1: Last Minute Announcements

Summer had just begun in Kyoto, the weather changed from semi cold to extremely warm, the trees filled with young cherry blossoms waiting to blossom into beautiful flowers. The sun shined brightly in the early morning sky. Summer vacation had just started today for Kagome Higurashi a 16 year old soft more at Kyoto Shinko High School. Kagome had big surprises laid out ahead of her on this day!

It was 7a.m. and the young beauty known as Kagome awoke at the sounding of her alarm going off.

The girl reached over to her alarm clock in search of the snooze button to stop the insufferable noise it was making.

It was just too early in the morning to get up and she need more sleep.

As she finally reached the snooze button and the annoying thing finally shut off she heard a light knock on the other side of her door.

"Kagome Dear, its time to wake up, breakfast is ready hurry up and get dressed and come down stairs your father has some important news so hurry and get dressed sweetie just come down stairs when you're finished."

"Ten more minutes' mom, I want to sleep."

Kagome grumbled while putting a pillow over her face to block out the rays of shine shining through her window.

"No Kagome Dear, you need to get up now your father and I have very important news to tell you and your brother."

"Okay I'm getting up you happy", Kagome grumbled as she sat up in her bed."

"Kagome, I'm going to go wake up Souta now dear so ill just see you downstairs don't take to long darling."

"Okay mom, I'll try to hurry but I'm going to take a shower first."

"All right Dear, just come down when your finished breakfast will be on the table."

With that said Kay took off down the hall towards her son's room to wake the little sleepy head out of his slumber.

"What should I wear today?"

Kagome asked herself out loud.

She took the liberty to stretch her stiff joints before walking across the room to her walk in closet.

Kagome rummaged through her closet in search of the perfect outfit to wear for the day.

She spent about 15mins rummaging through all of her clothes in the closet before settling on a pink and blue stripped mini skirt and a match pink tank top with blue strips. In the middle of the shirt you could read in big-bubbled letters "PinkIsn't Just a Color" on the front side of the shirt and on the back you could read in those same big-bubbled letters "It's a Fashion Statement Too."

She grabbed a pink thong and a pink and blue bra. Then she grabbed a pair of pink and blue flip-flops that would go nicely with her outfit and headed to her private bathroom, which was connected, to her bedroom.

She set her fresh clean clothes and dressed down out of her Pajamas.

She discarded her clothes into the laundry hamper and then stepped into the shower.

It took her about 20minutes to finish up with her shower.

She turned off the water and stepped out grabbing a towel as well.

After drying off her entire body she started towel drying her hair she got dressed in only a matter of second.

She went over to a cabinet on the far right side of the bathroom and pulled out her blow dryer and her hairbrush.

Bringing them over to the sink she plugged in her blow dryer into the outlet above the sink and began to blow dry and brush her hair.

She brushed her hair into a high ponytail then she opened a drawer to the left of the sink and grabbed her make up bag.

She was very lucky being a natural beauty so she needed verily any makeup.

She opened the small bag, which contained black eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow with built in glitter, and a pink lip-gloss.

She didn't require any foundation because she was gifted with a no lines zit free beautiful complexion.

She applied her make in an expert manner and was done within seconds and then she exited the bathroom.

The she walked over to her small vanity which stored all of her jewelry.

She grabbed a pink cross necklace on a gold chain to wear around her neck, matching cross ear rings, and two baby blue bracelets for each wrist.

After checking herself in the mirror she walked over to her night stand grabbing her cell phone, house and car keys and her stripped blue and pink hand bag.

After making sure she had everything she needed she exited her room locking it behind her and headed down the stairs towards the kitchen.

She reached the kitchen to see her family sitting around the table waiting for her.

"Good Morning Kagome Dear"

"Good Morning Mom, Dad, and Souta."

Kagome quickly took her seat by her mother.

Admittedly after she sat down her mother spoke.

"Kagome Dear, if you would it is your turn to say grace."

"Okay"

Kagome put her hands together and began to say grace.

"I thank you our heavenly father for the happiness and health of our family I also thank you lord for the roof over our heads, the food on our plates, and I thank you heavenly father for all the good fortune you have brought our family in Jesus' name Amen."

"Amen"

"Let's Eat"

Kagome took no time devouring down her eggs, bacon, and toast she then gulped down the orange juice.

She sat quietly waiting for the others to finish their breakfast for about 15mins.

Twenty minutes later her family was done eating and she was ready to get the heck out of there.

"May I be excused I'm going to the mall with Kyo, Saya, Yuki, and Hogi."

"No you may not we have important news to tell you."

Answer her father very coolly.

"Well can we make this quick I really want to go to the mall and hang out with my friends."

"Kagome don't use your attitude with your father young lady now listen to what your father has to say your friends can wait family is more important."

"Go on Dear continue."

Kay encouraged her husband as she motioned with her hand for him to continue.

"Kagome, Souta I've been granted a higher position at Tashio Corp."

"Wow!"

"Congratulations dad so what is this position, asked Kagome?"

"I've been promoted to manager of sells at the main office building in Tokyo."

"That's great dad when do you start?"

"Tomorrow when we move to Tokyo."

"What?"

"Yes that's the good news Kagome were moving to Tokyo."

"You call that great news telling me I'm moving away from my friends, Kagome yelled while tears welled up in her eyes."

"Kagome calm down dear listen to what your father is telling you."

"Calm down you say, what about my friends mom or my school?"

"Kagome I'm sure you can keep in contact with your friends' dear and perhaps even come to visit."

"This isn't fair; Kagome screamed as she jumped up from her chair and ran from the kitchen."

"Kagome wait...."

"Let her go Rai, she is just shocked that's all she'll get over it."

"Souta how do you feel about us moving to Tokyo?"

Rai, asked his son since he remained quiet through the whole discussion.

"I think its great dad I get to see a new place and live there wow this is going to be so exciting, Souta, cheered."

"He's taking this better then I thought he would Kay admitted to her husband, I wish Kagome would see it as Souta does."

"She'll come around you'll see."

"I hope so..."

"Maybe you should go and talk to her."

"Do you think that's a really good idea right now?"

"Go talk to our daughter ill go help Souta pack his things let Kagome know the movers will be here at noon tomorrow so she should start packing her things as well."

"All right dear ill try."

"Come on son; let's go pack your things ill help you."

"All right cool this is going to be so fun."

"ROAD TRIP"

Kay headed up the stairs knowing her daughter would be in her room.

As she made it up the flight of stairs she noticed Kagome's bedroom door was shut so it was most likely locked too.

"She always does the same thing when she gets upset; Kay signed walking up to Kagome's door."

She lightly knocked on her daughter's door calling her name.

"Kagome"

"Kagome"

"Go away leave me alone, came the reply of Kagome through the door."

"Kagome open the door please let's talk about this."

"We've already have talked enough, Kagome countered to her mother."

"So go away I don't want to talk to anyone."

"Open this door right now young lady."

Kay was loosing her patience with her teenage daughter she wasn't even giving it any thought just being her usual stubborn self like always and it was raking on her nerves.

"Fine"

Kagome jumped up from her bed and unlocked the door but quickly returning to her sitting position on the bed with her arms around her knees.

Kay twisted the door knob making sure that her daughter followed her wishes and slowly opened the door slowly stepping inside her daughter's room.

"Kagome dear I know you're upset about all of this and I completely understand but this is a big opportunity for your father."

"As his family we should be here to support him."

"I know mom but it's just not fair, why do we have to move to Tokyo just because dad got a higher position at

That, stupid company he works for its not fair I have to move too."

"That stupid company as you called it is where your father gets his money without that money you wouldn't have a roof over your head, food on your plate, or clothes on your back If I were you young lady I would be a little more grateful because without job you wouldn't have any of this."

"But mom it's just not fair I don't want to leave my friends, school or boyfriend behind to move to some strange city where I don't know anybody."

"Kagome sweetie I'm sure you'll make new friends in Tokyo, like the ones you have here."

"And I'm sure you'll find a new boyfriend as well."

"I can't just replace them like that you know."

"I know honey I'm not asking you too just make new friends when you get to Tokyo."

"And you never know dear, you are very beautiful so you might catch the eye of a handsome boy in Tokyo."

"But mom I have Drayton and I love him."

"Kagome dear, don't be silly you don't know what love is yet what you are experiencing is puppy love."

"Whatever then I really like him."

"Well just think about it over night and pack some of your things tonight the movers should be arriving tomorrow at noon so make sure your up your father told me to tell you."

"Okay"

"Well I'm going to go downstairs all right let me know if you need anything sweetie."

"Okay Momma"

Kay smiled at her daughter and exited the room.

Kagome stayed in her room to think about her situation.
