Well, I have started over just like I promised. Last time I made this story I didn't like the beginning so I revised it. I have a beta reader helping me now, so there should be few mistakes.

Warning! You will notice that some chapters have been joined as one. Other chapters will be placed in different orders than they previously were. This is all a part of the changesI am making to the story. There will still be the humor and romance you love in the story.Warning!

Chapter 1: Fiancé

Kagome Higurashi was currently getting dressed in her bedroom. There was a bed in the center of the room with blue silk sheets and a blanket. A dresser was set near the wall by her window across from her closet. There was a personal bathroom connected to the room. Everything in her room was expensive. Yes, this is what it's like when your family is filthy stinking rich.

Kagome went to her closet and pulled out a black dress. The dress was strapless and stopped just below the knee. There were twin splits on each side of the dress stopping mid-thigh. There was a slit going across the upper part of the dress so when put on, showed part of her cleavage. Kagome slipped the dress on, then put on the matching sandaled heels.

She still didn't understand why she had to get dressed up for the guests that were coming over. The Taisho's had been family friends since the parents were in college. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, the Taisho children, had known Kagome since they were little. Inuyasha was only two years younger than Kagome and Sesshomaru.

Kagome heard the doorbell ring and hurried down stairs. Her mother spotted her as her father opened the door. "Kagome, dear, come and have a seat."

Kagome sighed and plopped on the couch next to her brother, Souta. Toga and Izayoi walked into the living room followed by their two children and a little girl Kagome had never seen before. As the adults conversed she went over to the little girl who was standing by Sesshomaru.

"Hi! My name is Kagome. Who are you?" she asked kneeling down in front of the girl.

When the girl hid behind Sesshomaru's leg Kagome looked up at him expectantly. "This is Rin, my new little sister. We adopted her last week."

Kagome smiled at Rin and offered her a hand "I won't hurt you."

Rin looked up at Sesshomaru and when he nodded she took the offered hand. "Rin thinks you look pretty."

"Humph" Sesshomaru gave a small laugh.

Kagome glared at him then smiled down at Rin "I think you look pretty too. Come on I'll take you to meet my little brother, Souta." She said leading Rin to the couch.

Sesshomaru felt someone next to him. He looked over and saw Inuyasha standing next to him. "Yes?"

Inuyasha rolled his eyes "Do you have any idea as to why we're here?"

"Father said something about important news." Sesshomaru answered.They went and sat down in some of the chairs in the living room. Mr. Taisho cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "We are here because we have to announce an engagement."

"Who's getting engaged and why does it concern us?" Inuyasha asked.

"I was getting to that," Toga continued "Kagome and Sesshomaru will be getting married within three weeks."

Kagome's eyes widened and Sesshomaru choked on some water he had been drinking.

"What did you say?" they both asked.

Kagome's mother, Kaori, decided to save the men "Well, you two will be getting married due to a bet your fathers made in college."

Akio looked at his wife, "Was that supposed to help us?"

"What bet?" Inuyasha asked.

Toga cleared his throat "Well you know how I met Sesshomaru's mother, Sara, in college. We were dating for a while and I was going to ask her to marry me. I had a few doubts about what her answer would be. Akio kept saying that she would say yes."

"What does this have to do with me getting married?" Kagome asked.

"Well," Akio answered, "On the night of our graduation Toga was going to propose. The night before, he was so nervous it scared me. So to lighten his mood I made a bet with him. If Sara said yes my oldest daughter would marry his oldest son. If she said no his oldest son would marry my oldest daughter."

"What kind of bogus bet is that!" Kagome screeched. "I would still have to marry Sesshomaru if she said no!"

"Well for you it's a lose-lose situation, but for us it was a win-win. We won't have to deal with the gold digging boys and girls that came along to date you. And actually if Sara said no, you would be marrying Inuyasha because Sesshomaru would have never been born." Toga chuckled.

"I refuse to marry her." Sesshomaru said

"Well, I don't want to marry you either." Kagome said

Izayoi smiled at them "Well, you two don't have a choice really. We parents have already agreed to it. Sesshomaru, your mother is coming over from Kyoto tomorrow. She wants to be here for the wedding."

Kaori looked over to the children and saw Souta and Rin asleep. "Well, I guess it's time for bed. You can call your friends tomorrow; we're going to need their help planning the wedding."

With that said the adults headed upstairs with Rin and Souta nestled in their fathers' arms. Inuyasha followed them kissing Kagome on the forehead good night. He patted Sesshomaru on the back and went upstairs.

Now only Kagome and Sesshomaru were the only ones left. They turned off all the lights and headed to their rooms. When they reached them Kagome groaned. "Your room would be next to mine."

"Goodnight fluff butt!" she said before closing her door in his face.

Sesshomaru growled and went into his temporary room. He stripped down to his boxers. (A/N: faints) He climbed in bed and turned off the lamp on the night stand next to his bed. 'This will be interesting." he thought before falling into a dreamless slumber.

It was the next morning and Sango was currently driving to Kagome's home. Apparently there was some important news she and Kikyo had to know. Kagome wouldn't call at seven o'clock in the morning for nothing. Something had to be up.

She pulled in front of the gates that led to the Higurashi mansion. The guard looked at her for a moment before opening the gates. He probably recognized her by now; this was like her second home after all. She came there almost every day.

While Sango was walking to the door, she saw three very familiar cars. Before she could even reach up to knock on the door, it was sprung open. Kagome pulled her inside and dragged her up the stairs. Before the first floor was completely out of sight she saw Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Miroku sitting in the living room. When they finally reached Kagome's bedroom there was a little girl sitting on Kagome's bed next to Kikyo.

"Kagome what's wrong, and who is that?" Sango asked.

"This is Rin, the Taisho's adopted her last week, and I'm marrying Sesshomaru." Kagome answered.

"You're WHAT!" Sango yelled/asked.

"My parents planned this get together with the Taisho's last night. When they got here they just sprang it on me." Kagome said.

"Well it might not be that bad." Kikyo said

Sango turned and looked at her "What do you mean?"

"Well it's not like Kags is marrying a stranger, and Sesshomaru is not that bad."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

"Guys," Kagome whined "you're supposed to be on my side."

Just then Kagome felt something touching her leg. She looked down at Rin who was tapping her. "Yes?"

"Rin is hungry." Rin said.

Kagome giggled. "I guess you haven't eaten yet. Let's go down stairs and I'll make you some lunch."

She grabbed Rin's hand and led her down stairs. When they got to the living room, they saw the boys sitting watching TV. Sesshomaru was sitting on the love seat while Inuyasha and Miroku were sitting on the couch.

Rin ran over to Sesshomaru and climbed on his lap. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer. She rested her head on his chest. Kagome saw the scene and 'Awed'

When Sesshomaru glared at her she rolled her eyes.

"I'm making Rin some lunch, you guys want anything?"

When she got a chorus of no's she went into the kitchen.

"You can't seriously be upset about marrying her!" Inuyasha said.

"Rin thinks Kagome's pretty." Rin stated. Sesshomaru patted her on the head in acknowledgment.

Miroku gave a perverted smile. "I think Kagome is pretty too. Especially with her wide hips and full, luscious looking lips. Not to mention her wondrous..."

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru smacked him over the head before he could finish that thought.

"Shut up you pervert!" Inuyasha yelled

"Don't talk like that in front of Rin." Sesshomaru said.

Just then Kagome came in the room and saw Miroku on the floor. She shook her head and stepped over him. She stopped for a minute then went back and stepped on his back. Rin started giggling and Kagome smiled at her.

"Come on sweetie. You can eat in the backyard. I'll even show you the pool." Kagome offered

Rin nodded bouncing up and down excitedly. Kagome grabbed her with her free hand and led her through the kitchen to the backyard. After they left Miroku suddenly hopped off the floor, which scared the two remaining occupants.

After Rin ate she and Kagome went back to her room. Sango and Kikyo were going through her closet. Suddenly Sango grabbed Kagome and shoved her in the bathroom with an outfit.

"Get dressed. We're going to the mall." Kikyo yelled through the door.

It wasn't long before Kagome came out fully dressed. The girls all piled down stairs. They were surprised to see The Taisho and Higurashi parents walking through the door.

"Where have you been?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Well Souta was sick so Kaori and I took him to the hospital for a check up. Your dad and Izayoi went to pick up your mother at the airport. She's now resting at your house." Akio answered. (That's Mr. Higurashi if you haven't figured it out yet.)

Kagome kissed Souta on the forehead "Get better twerp. We're going to the mall. Be back in two hours." She dragged Sango and Kikyo out the door.

The girls were walking through the mall, each carrying about six bags. They were currently talking about ways for Kagome to break up with her boyfriend, Hojo. They had been dating for three months. Kagome said that he was too good and boring.

"Maybe you can say your father doesn't approve." Kikyo suggested.

"Well it wouldn't be a l-" Kagome suddenly stopped and was staring at something.

Kikyo and Sango followed her eyes to see Hojo cuddled up with some girl... Kagome walked over to them and tapped him on the shoulder. Hojo turned around and quickly let go of the girl when he saw her.

"Oh, um, Kagome-" Hojo started.

Kagome held up her hand "No, it's okay. I'm breaking up with you anyway."

"What? You can't break up with me." Hojo said.

"Yes I can. You seem to be too busy with the girl you were just hugged up too. You're not even worth my time."

!SLAP!

Kagome stood there shocked for a moment. Did Hojo just hit her? She suddenly snapped out of it when she heard a thump and saw Hojo hit the floor. When she looked up she saw Naraku, Kikyo's boyfriend, standing above her. He reached out a hand and pulled her up. Kagome was still in a daze holding her cheek.

Sango made a leap for Hojo, but Kikyo grabbed her by her collar. She dragged her outside following Kagome and Naraku. They got in Kagome's car while Naraku got in his car and headed to Kagome's house.

When they got to Kagome's house they had to drag Kagome in the house because she was still dazed. When they managed to help her open the door she almost fell in. Kaori immediately came up to them when she saw her daughter holding her face.

"Kagome, what happened?" She asked. That got everyone else's attention and they all waited for an answer. When Kagome didn't answer Sango told them what happened.

"We saw Hojo at the mall with some girl. Then when Kagome breaks up with him he got mad and slapped her." Sango huffed.

That caused a disturbance in everyone's mood. Then all of a sudden they were all talking at once. The men were speaking of ways to hurt Hojo and the women were ranting about disrespectful young men.

"QUIET"

They all got quiet and looked at Kagome. She looked upset. Her face was red and her hands were balled into fists.

"I'm fine. Just stop making so much noise! Naraku took care of Hojo" Kagome yelled.

"Kagome..."

"You know what? I need a nap. I'll be in my room. Don't bother me for a few hours." With that said Kagome stomped upstairs leaving everyone in complete silence.

Kaori finally broke the silence "Well the wedding is in three weeks so let's get planning. Sango and Kikyo, you will help Izayoi and I with designs for the clothing and how the wedding will be set up. Boys you will be helping Akio and Toga find places for the wedding and reception. Don't forget to find a good limo service."

"Sesshomaru what will be the colors of your wedding?"

"Light blue and green." Sesshomaru said without hesitation.

"Why?" Miroku asked.

"My favorite color is blue and Kagome's favorite color is green."

"Oh, and I love flowery dresses." Inuyasha laughed.

Sesshomaru smacked him upside the head. "Shut up"

"Boys, cut it out." Toga said "Now, let's start working on this wedding."

Everyone split up into their groups. The women went into the kitchen and the men left to find locations.

Rin and Souta looked at each other and shrugged.

"Rin thinks adults are weird." Rin said.

Souta nodded "Want to watch TV."

Rin nodded and they ran up stairs to watch television in Souta's room.
