Chapter 1: The Family

Please remember that this is a sequel and would probably make more sense is you read the story before.

Chapter 1: The Family

In a dark office a woman with long blue-black flowing hair and piercing brown eyes (yes Kagome has brown eyes...don't flame me telling me that in the manga she has blue eyes...I know ok? But I'm going by the cartoon eyes...). She spoke in a quiet, cold voice, "Mr. Hitiguki," paused as pure fear washed over the man sitting across from her, "how many times have I told you that the company computers are for office purposes only, and not to be used to go on to chat rooms?"

"Well Ms. H," his sweat ran down his chubby face, "in my defense I was on my break during those times."

The woman laughed a cold, dry laugh, "Mr. Hitiguki, if I had wanted your opinion I would have asked for it." Her smile disappeared and her cold mask was back in place. "I suggest that you print off a few resumes, because you have exactly a week to empty your space."

The man stood up and slammed his fat hands on her desk, "are you serious?!" he screamed in fury. "You're firing me?!"

"Yes Mr. Hitiguki, I am," she leaned back on her chair, "I know you cannot understand rules but I did not know you didn't understand Japanese." Just as Mr. Hitiguki opened his mouth she held up her hand. "That will be all." She then turned to her computer dismissing his presence.

The man stared at her for a little while then shook his head and mumbled an apology about his actions. He pushed his chair in and quietly left, for he knew there would be no changing her mind.

The woman then pressed a button on her desk allowing the blinds to left. She stood and made her way to the filing cabinet and pulled out Mr. Hitiguki's file. 'What a pity, he had such potential.' She thought as she read through his resume once more. 'I'll give him a good reference.' She then turned her computer and typed a quick reference. She then printed and placed it into the file, then put that file back into the filing cabinet. She then sat at her desk and continued her work.

"Ms. H, your children are here to see you." A voice over the intercom said in amusement.

She then gave a heavy sigh, "alright send them in." Just then the door opened to reveal three figures. The only girl, the shortest, stood to the right and resembled the woman at the desk with her long blue-black hair, her soft face, however her eyes were a piercing amber color. The second tallest was a boy and he stood in the middle. He had short silver hair, which was spiked up, he also had a longer face and his eyes resembled the woman's cold brown eyes. The third boy looked nothing like the other two. He had long carrot red hair in a ponytail, and had warm emerald eyes. "Tsuyayaka, Tsuwamono, Shippo why are you three not in school?" the woman asked lifting an eyebrow.

"You see Okaasan, Ojiisan, called the school and told them that we needed to be excused." The girl was the first to speak.

"Hmmm...I see Tsuyayaka." The woman nodding, "and of course your Ojiisan being the type of man he would never call me and tell me now would he?"

"Well you see Okaasan, he wanted to surprise us all and refused to tell anyone of us why he took us out of our schooling." The second tallest boy said in an indifferent tone.

"Yes well Tsuwamono, that still does not excuse your Ojiisan." She replied looking at her child. She then looked at the tallest boy, "what time did he say he would be here at Shippo?"

"He said at 2:30, Okaasan." Shippo replied looking at his watch.

"Well that's in 10 seconds, so I guess we'll know then.

(*ßthis means telekinesis)* Oniisan isn't it scary how Ojiisan always arrives exactly on time?* *Which one of us are you talking to Tsuyayaka?* *I'm talking to you Shippo Oniisan* *Well in that case yes it is scary, don't you think Tsuwamono?* *Not really considering Ojiisan is a demon* *Good point*(the other two replied at the same time)

'5,4,3,2,1.'The woman looked up form her watch and looked up as the door opened. "InuTaisho-sensei, what do we owe the pleasure?"

InuTaisho smiled, "how many times have I had to tell you to call me "giri no chichi"...Kagome."
