Chaos

A/N: Ok so here it is, the sequel to A Cold Night and I hope you all like it. I'm still not sure of a title but if you have any ideas, please let me know. I could use the help.

Sango was sitting in a cave with Shippo in her arms, looking down at Shippo and crying silently as he slept. Miroku and Inuyasha were across from her talking and Inuyasha had Kikyo asleep in his arms. They were all worried about Kagome not knowing what could have happened to her. Sango looked up at Kikyo and scowled at her.

Kikyo wasn't as asleep as everyone thought she was and she opened her eyes and looked at the demon slayer. When she saw the look on Sango's face she smirked and closed her eyes again.

Sango saw that and was pissed. Inuyasha was such a stupid idiot. She then thought about what happened and resumed crying.

~*~*~*~Flashback~*~*~*~

Kagome and Sango left the group to go to the hot springs. As they got out and got their clothes on, hundreds of demons came at them. Kagome grabbed her arrows and used them and Sango used her Boomerang. But no matter how much they killed, more just kept coming back. Suddenly Kikyo appeared and the demons ceased their attack.

"Hello Kagome, Naraku wishes to see you," Kikyo said smiling evilly.

"Are you sure its Naraku or do you just want me out of the way?" Kagome asked.

Kikyo laughed and sent the demons at Sango and walked up to Kagome paralyzing her and had her soul collectors carry her away. 'The paralysis will wear off soon' she smiled, 'and once she's far enough away...' she signaled for the demons to leave Sango as she disappeared with the rest of her soul collectors awaiting the perfect entry to go to Inuyasha.

Sango was surrounded by so many demons that she couldn't see Kagome and then suddenly they all left after a few minutes. Sango looked around and didn't find Kagome or Kikyo, so she ran back to the group. 'Kikyo was the one to blame for this' she thought, 'I just hope Inuyasha believes me.'

"Inuyasha!" Sango screamed as she got to the clearing making everyone focus on her.

Inuyasha turned and looked at her, "Sango what is it? Where's Kagome?"

"Kagome....demons...Kikyo....." she panted.

He grabbed her shoulders and told her to take a deep breath and then talk. She breathed deeply, "Kikyo sent demons after Kagome, she sent them at me so I couldn't see what happened to Kagome but after a few minutes they disappeared and Kikyo and Kagome were both gone. Inuyasha, Kikyo tried to kill Kagome."

"Sango that's crazy Kikyo would never-" but he was cut off by Kikyo's entrance to the clearing.

"Hello Inuyasha..."

"Kikyo, what are you doing here?"

"I came to see you of course, I heard what the demon slayer has told you."

"Well it doesn't matter you wouldn't do that!"

"What if I did Inuyasha....will you....kill me?" Kikyo walked to him and he had let go of Sango long ago and faced her.

Miroku and Shippo just watched silently at the scene both scowling. Kikyo embraced Inuyasha not letting go and kissed him. He kissed her back and held her.

She broke the kiss, "now answer me Inuyasha....would you kill me...if I did that. Would you avenge her death and kill your first love?"

"No, I love you Kikyo...I could never hurt you....no matter what..." and he held her tighter.

"I love you too Inuyasha, and I did not do such a horrible thing to my reincarnation." she lied, hugging him back and smirking at Sango.

Sango scowled, "Inuyasha! How can you listen to her?! Don't tell me you believe her..."

"Sango she said she didn't do it, I believe her. Kikyo wouldn't lie to me." Inuyasha stated in ignorance.

"Kilala, lets go," Sango said angrily, Kilala transformed and waited for Sango and Miroku.

"Wait Sango I'm coming with you," Miroku said while holding Shippo and running to her, getting on Kilala behind her.

"Kikyo we have to go find Kagome," Inuyasha said.

"Of course, so let us get going."

Once she said that he picked her up bridal style and began running towards Kagome's scent.

~*~*~*~End Flashback~*~*~*~

So here she was watching Inuyasha hold the dead woman that tried to kill Kagome, her best friend, the girl that was like a sister to her. She couldn't believe Inuyasha would believe Kikyo over her.

Inuyasha was sitting there talking with Miroku about where Kagome could possibly be and of course Miroku wouldn't let the fact go that Inuyasha wouldn't believe Sango but Inuyasha wouldn't hear of it. So finally they stopped talking and he looked down at the woman in his arms. 'She not evil.....my Kikyo wouldn't do anything like that. But damn rain,' he cursed the weather because it washed away Kagome's scent as well as the scent of the demons, that he picked up after a little while of running from the springs.

He had to think of a way to find her....she had to be around here somewhere because when he got here near the cave her scent got stronger but it went pass this cave. He was really worried about her. He sighed and decided to close his eyes and wait until morning.

~*~*~*~Sesshomaru and Kagome~*~*~*~

Kagome was very comfortable in Sesshomaru's arms. She snuggles more into his arms and he held her close to keep her warm. Morning would be here soon, and he thought he'd let her sleep as long as she needed too. He could now smell a tiny trace of the dead priestess's soul collectors on her, and held her closer 'I shall always protect you Kagome' he thought and drifted back to sleep as he wrapped his tail around her and pulled the blanket over them.

Morning came and Inuyasha awoke. He could smell Kagome's scent clearly nearby, so he gently set Kikyo down, pulling off the top of his red kimono leaving only the white one on him, and put it under her head. He went to the entrance of the cave and sniffed the air, then followed the scent of her and after a little while found Kagome's scent mixed with Sesshomaru's in another cave.

He walked in and looked around then saw them, saw her...his Kagome was in his damned half brother's arms. "Kagome!" he screamed not caring that he woke her up.

Kagome shifted at her name and opened her eyes rubbing the sleep from them. She looked towards the entrance of the cave and saw Inuyasha there.

"Aaaahh!" she screamed and pulled the blanket over her naked form more. Sesshomaru was awake and knew when Inuyasha arrived, he turned and looked at Inuyasha and smirked.

"What's the matter little brother?" Sesshomaru asked calmly.

"You bastard, get your hands off of her!" he yelled back.

"Why don't you make me?"

"I can't believe you fucked my brother!!!" Inuyasha screamed.

"Inuyasha...do not say another word to her," Sesshomaru said in a deadly voice.

"I never knew you to be a slut...but then again who knows what you might have done with Koga when he kidnapped you...." Inuyasha said ignoring Sesshomaru's warning.

"Inuyasha can you please turn around and we can deal with this afterwards," Kagome asked shyly, blushing a very dark shade of red.

"WHY!? Its not like I haven't seen you naked before! "

"Inuyasha....SIT BOY!!!" once he was eating dirt Kagome stood up, Sesshomaru removed his tail from around her and stood up as well. Blocking her from Inuyasha's view, should he look up. She got dressed and then so did he. By the time Sesshomaru was getting dressed Inuyasha got up from the ground.

"You bastard how dare you touch my Kagome!!" Inuyasha ran at Sesshomaru pulling out Tetsusaiga slashing at him. Sesshomaru moved quickly out of the way with Kagome in his arms.

"Half breed, you should be careful when swinging your sword. You could have killed Kagome," he stated.

"Shut up asshole! I wouldn't kill her, she's a slut but she'll be my slut, now shut up and die!" he swung the sword again and Sesshomaru jumped back, still holding Kagome, out of the cave.

He then set Kagome down and glared at Inuyasha.

"Good now that you let go of her, WIND SCAR!!!" Inuyasha said, but Sesshomaru again dodged and reappeared behind Inuyasha. When Inuyasha turned around he punched him making him fall to the ground.

Inuyasha was getting ready to do the wind scar again when Kagome yelled, "SIT!!!!" Putting Inuyasha in a deep crater.

By this time everyone else had woken up from in the cave and heard Inuyasha yelling a little while away and they all quickly got up to see if he found Kagome, or what was going on.

When they arrived on the scene they got there in time to see Inuyasha plummet to the ground. When he finally got up he was glaring at her.

"What the HELL do you think your doing? Why are you sticking up for that BASTARD brother of mine?!"

"Because I love him that's why and how dare you call me a slut...you bastard," Kagome stated calmly.

"Grr so you chose that asshole over me!" he asked.

By this time Kikyo walked over to Inuyasha and hugged him, "Inuyasha you have me darling...."

Kagome looked really shocked and hurt by this as Inuyasha hugged her back.

"Inuyasha....what are you doing? She tried to kill me!"

"What are you talking about? Kikyo wouldn't try to hurt you....you and Sango are lying!" he said stubbornly.

"YOU THINK I WOULD LIE TO YOU ABOUT SOMEONE TRYING TO KILL ME????!!!" Kagome screamed.

"DON'T YELL AT ME! After all at least I didn't sleep with her, like you fucked Sesshomaru!!!"

Kagome got deadly silent and looked down, her bangs hiding her eyes and then said, "SIT!!!" she screamed as loud as she could.

Kagome walked back to Sesshomaru and he held her close. Sango couldn't believe what was going on, did she even hear right? Did Kagome and Sesshomaru....she just stood there waiting for everything to be cleared up.

"Would you stop doing that?"

"Let me think....no...and your 'precious' Kikyo can't take it off of you either," Kagome replied.

"Why you little whore-" but before Inuyasha could say anymore Sesshomaru held him by his throat and pushed against a tree.

"Do. Not. Ever. Dare. Call Kagome, that. Ever again!" Sesshomaru exclaimed, his eyes showing a hint of red in them and his other hand raised and glowing green with poison.

Kagome thought 'I really am too kind, I should let him and Sesshomaru work this out but then he might end up dead' and with a sigh she walked over to Sesshomaru and hugged him from behind.

Once he felt her arms around him his eyes instantly went back to its golden hue, and his claws no longer glowed with poison. He then dropped Inuyasha to the ground and turned around and held her close to him.

'One more minute and I could have killed the pathetic half-breed' Sesshomaru thought but sighed and hugged Kagome even tighter. Kagome herself sighed thinking, 'that wouldn't have turned out very well for Inuyasha' she then looked up at Sesshomaru and smiled brightly.

"Grr....Kagome you were supposed to be mine! But you know what, I choose Kikyo," he had a smug look on his face.

Kagome backed up from Sesshomaru and looked at Inuyasha then said, "ok I hope you two will be happy together when you go to hell with her."

"Inuyasha, calm down my love, ignore them I suggest we just take today to rest," Kikyo said.

"Well that's the first sensible thing she's ever said," Sango stated annoyed. With that the group sat and deciding to rest in the clearing they were presently in. Sango sat next to Miroku, Kagome was sitting in Sesshomaru's lap and Kikyo was sitting in Inuyasha's lap. Kilala was relaxing under a tree with Shippo who was trying to figure out what was going on in his own little mind.

Kagome knew that Sango wanted an explanation, as well as Miroku and Shippo, so she thought she'd give them one, but not right now. Her head hurt from all the yelling Inuyasha had been doing. So at the moment she rested her head on Sesshomaru's chest and closed her eyes, relaxing in his embrace.
