Chapter 1 Kagome's Wish and InuYasha's Sadness

"Kagome no please don't go, "Inuyasha reached out to her to stop her from leaving him.

The Sacred Jewel of Four Souls was once again whole but would be soon gone forever.

As Kagome made the wish upon the jewel, she only thought of Inuyasha's happiness.

The jewel burst into a pure flame of light and then she was gone.

InuYasha jumped into the well after the pure light guided Kagome's unconscious body down it.

There was no blue light that eloped his body before he knew it he met a horrible impact into the bottom of the well.

He felt so broken and not because of the impact from the fall, no it was because of his heart his everything left him.

He climbed out of the well and jumped back in it over and over again trying to activate the magic of the well but it was the same thing over and over again a horrible impact with the bottom of the well.

He finally gave up lying broken in the bottom of the well he didn't know how long he was inside of the well but to him it felt like eternity.

Finally it sunk in he would never see her again she was gone forever.

That very thought of never seeing her again unnerved him to no extent.

Just the thought of never seeing her beautiful face, or her sparkling chocolate brown eyes and her dazzling smile again tore him up inside.

He couldn't imagine a life without her in it.

Looking back upon his mistakes he knew of every wrong he had ever done to her but still he never once tried to fix it.

He could have had her as his if only he laid his love for his first to rest.

But why he did not know why he couldn't choose her over Kikyo.

It haunted his thoughts how many times he hurt her when he seen her cry for him, when he seen the love she held for him in her eyes when she looked at him, and when he saw her sacrifice everything for him even now she did.

He betrayed her yet she stayed by his side.

He watched her slowly shattering like glass as her hurt her yet he did nothing to save her from the pain he caused her heart and he regretted it deeply.

She sacrificed her own happiness for his.

What did she wish for when she made the wish upon the sacred jewel?

He did not know, "Did she wish she had never met me?"

He asked no one in particular.

"No she would never wish for something like that, "would she?"

He decided to shrug it off for now because he knew she would never wish something like that on the jewel.

He lay in the well for hours soon hours turned into days.

His friends Sango, Shippo or Miroku didn't know what to do to help him.

He wouldn't leave the well for anything.

He wouldn't eat, bath, or drink.

All he did was sit near the well calling out to the one that was not there.

He screamed her name into the well over and over again.

Soon time passed he grew ill and weak.

His health did not matter to him he did not care about himself all he cared for was Kagome.

He called out to her she never came.

He wished for her presence it was never there.

He even wished to hear that terrifying word she would use as she seethed with anger.

He wished so bad for to hear that word Sit.

It never once came.

"Kagome, "he yelled in anguish.

Her screamed her name over and over none stop calling out to her.

But still she never came to him or answer to his calls.

Even his older brother Sesshomaru wished to help him.

He called to her never stopped calling her name soon his voice came horse where he could speak no longer.

He finally gone mad no one could save him except his soul and his heart and they were calling to her no one but she could save his sanity, but she never did.

He sat very weak at the bottom of the well an insane man he was.

He died that night calling to her still in his silent cries.

Tears rolled down from his eyes he knew today he would die.

These were the last words to roll out of his mouth before death came to claim him.

"Kagome I Love You"

He died broken and alone with no one to hold or care for him when he died, but he thought of her the very moment he died.

Finally he died that night at the side of the well.

It was cold from the depths of snow, which buried his dead frozen body.

There is where the Lord found him alone.

There is where the lord drug his body to the sacred tree.

There is where Sesshomaru buried his body.

Before leaving that very burial ground he sat upon his knees and these were the words he said.

"Yet you were half-breed still you were a brother my brother rest in piece little brother."

Then he looked at that very well that killed his brother.

And swore he would find the one that took his brother's soul.
