Sesshomaru's Preposal

Kagome sighed and looked at the clock.

"Thank Kami it's almost summer," she thought, thinking of the many lies her grandfather had sprouted. "At least I don't need a reason to lie to the school about where I am anymore."

Eventually, Kagome was let out of school for the summer. Walking towards her house, Kagome tried to think of a reason that she would tell her friends where she was going to be all summer.

"Gramps will think of one," she sighed.

Slowly making her way up the steps to the shrine, Kagome felt a strange feeling pass over her. Like some one was watching her. She continued up the steps when Inuyasha jumps from a tree in front of her.

"AHHHHHH!!!!" she screamed.

"Hey Kagome, when are you coming -" Inuyasha started, when he was cut short by Kagome.

"INUYASHA!!!!" Kagome screamed, "YOU JUST DON'T GO JUMPING OUT OF TREES LIKE THAT! I ALMOST FELL DOWN THE STAIRS!"

"Sorry, geez" Inuyasha said." I just wanted to know when you were coming back."

"Well, I was going to come back tonight, after I picked up some ramen and potato chips" Kagome said and, still clearly annoyed, began to continue her way up the steps.

"Okay." Inuyasha said, and began to follow.

"Hey, Sis. I thought I heard you yelling." Sota said when Kagome and Inuyasha got to her house.

"Well if Inuyasha here hadn't jumped out of a tree like that...."Kagome started.

"Well, Sorrrry. I didn't know that you were going to react that way." Inuyasha said, trying to defend himself.

"Well anyway, did mom pick up the ramen like I asked her to?" Kagome said.

"Yeah, she did." Sota replied. "It's in a bag on the table, ready to go with you."

"Okay, just let me get the bag and we'll be out of here." Kagome said to Inuyasha, dashing inside and reappearing with the said bag in her hands.

"Hurry up Kagome!" Inuyasha called, jumping into the well.

Kagome sighed. "I am, I am!" She said, not long before she to followed him into the well.

Sesshomaru looked out over the mountain tops to the village where Inuyasha and his miko disappeared into every so often.

She better be here. He thought, thinking of his left arm, or what was left of it.

"Kagome!" Shippo cried, after seeing his adoptive mother.

"Hello, Kagome." Both Sango and Miroku greeted her.

"Kagome is it true that you no longer have school?" Shippo asked.

"Yes. I graduated this year." Kagome replied happily.

"I'm glad to hear it." Said a calm female voice.

"Kikyo?" Kagome asked, when she saw the undead miko only a few meters away.

"Yes it's me." Kikyo said.

"Kikyo is going to help us defeat Naraku," Inuyasha said.

"He still won't ask Sesshomaru for help, will he?" Kagome asked Sango

"Nope." Sango sighed.

"We don't need my brother's help! I can kill him!" Inuyasha said.

"Obviously you need my help, if your miko suggests you ask for it." Came Sesshomaru's voice from behind Kagome.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome gasped.

"Miko, I need your assistance." Sesshomaru said, his eyes searching Kagome and the trembling Shippo in her arms.

"Well you can't have it!" Inuyasha said.

"Shut up, Inuyasha." Kagome said.

"As I was saying before I was so rudely interupted by my brother, I need you to heal my arm."

"Really?' Kagome asked nervously. She had done this only once before on a village girl, and they had to be completely naked for it to work.

Obvioulsy Inuyasha remembered. "NO WAY!" he yelled.

"So will you heal my arm, miko? In return I will help you search for Naraku. He is close by." He stated.

"Yes, I will." Kagome responded.
