Chapter 1- Prologue

On a moonlit night like this you would expect a child to be in bed. But Kagome Rayne Higurashi was not exactly in a position to go to sleep. She was out doing things a child her age should never have had to witness, let alone do. But she did what she was ordered to do. Without remorse, she did many inhumane deeds.

You see Kagome was special; different in ways that nobody could really grasp. Lucky for her bosses, she used her gifts for them and no one else. Her father's gifts were nothing compared to her's, so his mistake profited them rather than hurt them. Yes, Kagome was taken from her family, because her father had made a bad deal with the wrong person.

She grew up knowing nothing but death from the age of three. It wasn't until an accident happened and the events that followed did she start to question her way of life. Finally, the death of her mentor and protector caused her to run from the only life that she knew to escape the horrid things she had done.
