Youkai in My Time by Aoi Tsuki

Chapter One

Eyes followed as she made her way down the nearly desearted sidewalk. He wasn't aiming for rape. No, he was highter than that. He was merly studing her. Seeing what her reaction may be to seeing him again. He was wondering why hea had to see her now. Why he,Sesshomaru, Lord of the Western Lands, had to tell a mere human he was still alive.

'Its because you love her.' A voice mocked.

'Do not.'

'Do too.'

'Do not.'

'Do too.'

'Do not.'

'Do too and you know it.'

'Alright! I love her.'

'Then what are you waiting for. Go get her.'

Sesshomaru stepped out carefully walking a few feet behind her. He glanced around to make sure no one was around then he put an arm around her waist and one over her mouth and jumped to the nearst roof.

"Sshh... Dont scream...I'm not going to hurt you." He whispered in her ear. He set her down on and backed away. She turned slowly , afraid of what she may see. She gasped as tears welled up in her eyes. He looked just like Sesshomaru except he looked like Inuyasha when he was human. He had black hair and violet eyes. She took a step back and shook her head.

"Kami no...It cant be...This cant be possible." She fell to her knees crying. He was at her side, cradling her in his arms,"It is possible. Its me Kagome."

"I missed you soo much. I'm sooo sooorrrryyy. I should have know you would live through all that stuff."

"Dont be sorry. I made you wait. I almost tore that Hojo guys head off when he touched you."

Kagome chuckled, "He's only a friend. My friends kept trying to get me to hook up with him but my heart wasnt in it. So, we decided to be just friends."

"I knew you were loyal," he chuckled. He set her down," I want to show you something."

He closed his eyes and started chanting something. In less than a minute he was his old self. His white hair flowed down his back, his golden eyes were aimed at her, his tail was draped over his shoulder, his ears pointed and he was wearing his normal Kimono and armor. She ran up to him and kissed him.

"Kagome, theres something I've been meaning to ask you.... Will you be my mate?"

"Always, Sesshomaru, always."

He smiled and her breath caught.

"Kagome this might hurt. Are you sure?"

"Of course. I love you."

He nodded and bit down on the junction wher her neck and shoulder met. She cried out for a moment but stopped when he licked the wound.

"Know all youkai know you are mine," He pulled a box out of his Kimono and got down on one knee, "Will you marry me so all humans know you are mine?"

"Do you even have to ask," She said tears welling in her eyes as he slipped the diamond 24kt gold ring on her finger.

"Now I really feel terrible."

"Why is that?"

"Because I've been keeping something from you but I'll have to explain later. I have to get back to the shrine before 12:15a.m. Could you get me there? Please?"

She didnt recieve an answer because he grabbed her by the waist and took torwards the shrine.
