The Deal

Chapter 1- The Deal

(We have no claim to any Inu Yasha characters or the Inu Yasha world)

"Will it work," asks an unsure wolf demon.

"Yes, but you must make sure she drinks it all," says the priestess, handing the demon a small blue bottle. "She'll be in a dead sleep for 24 hours, and when she awakes she'll fall deeply in love with the first one she sees."

"What do you want in return?" asks the wolf eyeing the bottle carefully.

"I want nothing," says the priestess as the demon leaves the cave in search of his mate-to-be.

Naraku steps out of the darkness as he watches the demon fade into the night. "It won't be long now," says Kikyou as Naraku wraps his arms about her smiling form.

Kouga stops running when he notices a particular sweet scent. "My woman," he yells out loudly. The gang sighs loudly lowering their defenses, except for Inu Yasha that is.

"Stay away from her, you, mangy wolf," yells Inu Yasha pulling Tetseiga out of its sheath.

"I don't have time for you today, mutt face," yells Kouga dodging Tetseiga and jumping over Inu Yasha. Kouga runs to a stunned Kagome, picks her up, and takes off again.

"Get back here," calls Inu Yasha running after Kouga. Kouga pays no heed to this. He takes out the bottle and while running, pulls the cap off.

"Kouga, I'm not your woman, so please..." Kagome can't finish because Kouga shoves the bottle into her mouth. Kagome is forced to swallow the disgusting liquid.

Just as the last drop falls into her mouth, Kagome slips into a deep sleep.

Inu Yasha catches up with Kouga and tackles him to the ground. The young, immobile miko is thrown roughly to the ground.

"Kagome," Kouga says rising from the ground.

"What did you do to my Kagome?" asks Inu Yasha running at Kouga with his blade drawn. He throws Kouga backwards a little, but no damage is done.

"Nothing more then you've already done," counters Kouga.

The two continue their fighting, never knowing or suspecting that someone is watching them and the dead-like miko. 'I will have Tetseiga soon,' thinks Sesshoumaru coming out of the bushes.

He walks calmly up to Kagome and picks her up. In a moments time, they were flying thru the sky.

"Inu Yasha," calls the group finally making it into the clearing.

"Help Kagome," Inu Yasha yells back not looking away from the wolf demon. Sango looks around wildly. There's no sign of Kagome anywhere.

Miroku was the first to speak up, "Where is she?"

"What the hell do you mean where is she," cries out Inu Yasha finally turning around.

"She's gone," says Shippo sadly from his place on Sango's shoulder, "Momma's gone," Shippo wails out loudly and then begins to cry softly.

Kouga and Inu Yasha walk silently to where they left their young miko. They look about the area, and then to each other.

Coming to the same conclusion simultaneously, they yell out in frustration, "Sesshoumaru!"
