That fateful day 4 years ago I shouldn't have gone through the well. I shouldn't have followed Buyo into the mini shrine, and I should have made Sota go get the cat instead of me. But at fate would have it I did go into that mini shrine and I did go get that cat and I did go through that well. If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have this life today.

My name is Kagome Higorashi and 4 years ago on my 15th Birthday I was dragged into a well by Mistress Centipede. There I met InuYasha and traveled with him to collect the pieces of the Shikon-no-Tama, or Jewel of Four Souls, that I – Accidentally – Shattered. From there, a lot of both humans and demons alike came after us. First it was the crow demons, and then it was the robbers in the woods, then Yura of the Hair, then Sesshomaru InuYasha's half brother. Demon after demon, human after human came after us. But my story starts when I met a certain demon. It was the forth battle I had been in with InuYasha. When I met his brother Sesshomaru.

The first time I saw him, I have to admit, I thought he was a girl. Then when he began to speak I honestly thought 'Woa, that woman has a deep voice!!!!' It was only a while later when InuYasha said it was his half brother that I knew he was a man. From the beginning I thought he was beautiful. It didn't matter that he wanted me dead; I still thought he was beautiful even through that assassin frame. Even when he was about to slash through InuYasha's skull I thought he was beautiful. In my old life, I would have thought something along the lines of 'How could someone so beautiful be so cruel?' But in my new life, searching for jewel shards and dodging homicidal demons, I knew that if he was bent on killing me, I would most likely be in danger.

After InuYasha's battle with Sesshomaru I was honestly worried about him. His arm had been torn clean off!!!! I was worried about InuYasha, yes. But it was Sesshomaru my heart cried for. InuYasha had a few bad cuts and scrapes, but besides that, nothing too bad. Those wounds had healed in 3 days time. But the next time we saw Sesshomaru, he still had no arm. He had tried to replace it with a dragon claw, but that hadn't worked out either. The truth is; my mind was never very far away from Sesshomaru. His arm always worried me, after all, he lost it because I was too weak to take care of myself –Not that it was my fault, in my time, we didn't really need fighting skills, but I still felt guilty every time we saw him.

Now four years later is where my tale begins, and how I, Kagome Higorashi fell in love with the most dangerous man who ever lived.

Sesshomaru

I woke up feeling more refreshed than usual. I don't know why but today felt like a good day. I woke up and made breakfast for all my companions. I looked over at Sango and Miroku, sleeping contentedly in each others arms. I remember when they had finally gotten married two years ago, that had been a wonderful day. A year after that we defeated Naraku. Now we still search for the jewel shards he had, for they had been scattered all across Japan after his demise. Why couldn't things just be easy? Why couldn't they just land where his body had been? Why can't those stupid little pink rocks just stay in one place?

I returned my gaze to the fire I was stoking for a moment, and then looked over at Shippo. He was now 12 years old and growing into a man. He now was interested in girls. After the first time Shippo had asked Miroku how to get a girl we decided it was time for Shippo and Miroku to stay away from each other for a while.

No one wants a perverted fox demon running around.

I smiled to myself at the memory then my eyes settled on InuYasha. I had long given up on InuYasha. It had been a silly crush. My first love, but nothing more. Kikyo had died for good the day we defeated Naraku and hadn't come back in this last year we had been searching. I think InuYasha gave up on her coming back too. When she hadn't come back in six months InuYasha had wanted to be with me. At the time, I was overjoyed. But after only a few weeks with him I realized I was still Kikyo to him. I would never be Kagome in his eyes. Just second place to Kikyo, so I decided to just stay friends with him instead.

At the smell of food my companions started waking up. Shippo woke up first, probably because his nose is the strongest and came to sit by me. Now, when he first started getting into girls Sango and I had had a long talk with him. He told us he didn't view us in 'That way' we were more like mothers to him. We had laughed and hugged him and told him to stay the cute little boy he was forever, that had made him blush and get mad saying he was no longer little and that he wanted to be treated like a man, then went over and sat with InuYasha and Miroku. Sango and I had laughed together for a long time about that. Yea, some role models to be proper men!!

I was staring at Shippo with a big smile on my face when I realized he was trying to get my attention, waving his paw in front of my face.

"Um, I'm sorry what?"

"You were just staring at me for a long time Kagome, are you ok?" He asked me, worry set into his cute 12-year-old face. My smile got wider.

"Yes Shippo, I was just remembering something about our past together, forget it."

Shippo's brow knitted together in an obvious 'Jeeze, Mom's are so weird' Way and I giggled as I took a bite of my pancake.

My Parents Had Moved 2 Wisconsin When I Was Born, Then Moved Back 2 Nebraska When I Was 2, So This Is the Only Home I've Ever Known. But I Have Family All Over the Place!!!! So 2day a Lot of Our Family Had a Big Party At My House. My Aunt Nancy and Uncle John From Minnesota Came Along w. My 2 Cousins Brian and Ben. Brian Is IN LUV w. Girls and Even Put Comments On My MySpace About Which of My Friends He Thought Were the Hottest. ...Let's Just Say He's the Miroku of Our Family. His Little Brother Ben Is Very Rude, But I Luv Him Anyway. Next, My Aunt Sue, and Uncle Mike Came From Colorado w. My Twin Cousins Mathew and Jonathan. Mathew Likes 2 Show Me All the Cool Tricks He Can Do On My Trampoline, and Jonathan REALLY Likes Computer Games. Then My Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jeff Came From Colorado As Well w. My Cousin Ansel. Ansel Is the Youngest Cousin At Only 1 Year Old. So Far He REALLY Likes Stuffed Animals. I Also Just Found Out 2day That Aunt Lisa Is Having Another Baby!! She's Due In March! I'm So Exited!!!! ^_^ Then My Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob Came From Across Town w. My Cousins Andrew and Chris. Andrew Thinks He's SO HOTT and SO COOL. Let Me Tell U. He's Not. Chris Is Just a Sweet Heart. He Purposely Throws Me the Ball When We Play Football b.c I'm the Only Girl. My Team Always Wins. lol. So Yea, 2days' Party Was a Lot of Fun!!
