Prologue

I wish you knew...

The desolate winds blew across the dead trees, and her midnight black kimono danced with the dead leaves flowing around her. The girl looked so miserable, yet stunning at the same time, like a fallen angel with broken wings, unable to fly free.

The grey skies luminously shadowed her surroundings, suffocating her sight. But she was oblivious to all but one thing...a lone grave standing proudly in front of her.

Her bangs covered her eyes, as if she despised the thought of being vulnerable and showing her emotion filled eyes to anyone. Her dark, voluptuous hair was wrapped around her body, as if it were a shield. She lightly traced her fingers across the cold, lifeless stone before her thinking, 'Have you ever wondered...why...'

As she began to turn away for the last time, one solitary tear glided down her angelic features, and when she slowly made her way back towards the village below her, she whispered softly and the winds carried her voice away.

"I'm sorry..."
