Unbreak My Heart by eternally_yours

Chapter One

Her heart is breaking into two, as she stares out the window. She sees him standing there. She hates him with every ounce of her strength. The golden eyes, the colour of honey, the way his silver hair glints in the sun, make her heart skip a beat. But at the same time she sees Kagura hanging of his arm, makes her feel like inside she is dying.

She runs from the room unable to watch any longer, tears stinging her eyes. She continues running, as fast as she can, to the park, sitting under the cherry blossom tree. She stops out of breath, and closes her eyes.

She remembers yesterday, when she tried to tell him how she felt. She asked for a private word. But no one left. She sees the groups' laughter, Kagura's jeering voice telling her to leave, and Jaken's screeching laughter trying to wheeze out

"You? Your simply not worth It.". Then there was him. His face remained impassive through her whole speech. She had never felt so stupid in her life. But her feelings obviously don't matter to them.

Her pride has been deeply cut, her feelings torn from her heart. She screams out her frustration, and pulls at her hair. The pain is taking over her like a parasite, feeding off her happiness. She needs the hatred out of her system, but it's either that, or the pain. She needs to end it all, right there, right now.

She looks for anything that can release her pain, yet her tears blind her, and she can't find anything, making her frustrated. Finally she collapses in a big sobbing heap, her body shaking violently.

She feels a gentle tap on her shoulder, startling her. She looks up, not caring. It is him.

"Sesshoumaru?" she questions. But the need for words is lost, when she looks upon his golden eyes. They tell her almost everything she wants to hear. He leans down, capturing her lips with his own. However there is one question that plagues her, and her know it.

"I was shocked yesterday, I had no idea, nor knew how to react. I apologize for my acquaintances behavior. I hope you forgive me, Kagome. I truly care for you, and you alone.

She answers with a short kiss, putting all her feelings into it. Cherry blossom's fall around them, and he pulls her into his arms. Suddenly everything feels right. The jeering crowd melts away, into yesterday's problem. The story has a happy ending.... for now anyway.
