Chapter 1: The Appearance at The Shrine

A/N: Hello, and welcome to my third fanfic!!!! Ok... it is kinda weird so...anyways here it is!!!!

Chapter 1: The Appearance at The Shrine

Kagome and Sango walked over to the Higurashi Shrine after school. It was two weeks before the finals. Kagome stretched then smiled. It was a lovely spring day. The two walked up the 500 steps to the top of the shrine. Kagome ran over and opened the door, the two walked in. Kagome said, "Hey Sango, do you want something to eat? We have brownies." Kagome said this knowing her friend couldn't refuse the offer because both girls knew that Sango loved brownies.

Sango grinned and said," You bet I do...where are they? Let me at 'em. Come on Kagome!!" As Sango said this, Kagome kept giggling and teasing her about where they were. Finally, Kagome grabbed a plate of brownies out of the microwave and got the both of them a glass of milk.

Then, Kagome said, "Come on, Sango. It's so nice outside and we don't have any homework... let's eat them under the Ancient Tree." Sango agreed and in a minute, the two girls were laying out on the lawn under the Ancient Tree eating brownies. Sango and Kagome laughed about some things going on at school. For instance: Hojo giving Kagome slippers for her being sick last week. The girls giggled at Hojo's weird way of trying to help people and then running off before they could supposedly thank him.

Kagome and Sango got up after both of them eating six brownies and the two girls went into the house. Since it was Friday, Sango was spending the night. The girls went upstairs to listen to some music. After an hour of that, the two went downstairs just as the phone rang. Kagome ran and slid across the tile floor with her socks then answered the phone. "Hello?" Kagome asked.

The voice on the other line sounded angry. "Kagome, this is mom... I'm stuck in my office because the emergency switch was pulled. I can't leave. Souta is staying at his friend's house so don't worry about him. You and Sango have fun and I'll be home in the morning. I love you."

Kagome answered, " Okay, mom. I hope everything is okay at the hospital with you. Well, see you in the morning. I love you, bye." Before her mother could respond, the line went dead. Kagome heard a crash and ran to the back window....
