Blind Love by Black Wings
Chapter 1
Hey guys, here is my new fic. Hope you enjoy it.
Summary: Kagome Higurashi, one of the King and Queen's daughter. She loved to learn, read, and go out onto the ocean. That was until one fateful day, when her vision was taken away from her...forever. She was devastated. Her once shiny hair dulled, and her eyes turned steely. Her skin paled, and her body grew thin.
The King and Queen noticed her sudden changes, and also noticed that nothing seemed to catch her interest. She'd always sit in a chair next to an open window, in her bedchambers. They didn't know how to help their daughter. That was until a prince from the kingdom in the west, came to their castle.
Long summary, I know. Enjoy the fic
Warning: The chapter will be short!!

Chapter 1
"The princess said, 'Why dear prince, do not leave me. I could never survive without you.' The prince smiled. 'Do not worry my princess, I shall come back to you.' The prince took her hand in his and leaned toward her. He placed a gentle kiss on her lips and stepped back. She-" The reader was cut off when a cold voice interrupted her.
"Sango, that is enough for today."
Sango stopped and nodded. "Yes, princess." They were currently in the princess's bedchambers. The princess, known as Kagome, was sitting in her usual spot in a chair, next to an open window.
Kagome stared down at her hands, never moving. She was wearing a white and pink gown that reached the floor and spread out in front of her. "Thank you." Kagome's monotone voice reached Sango's ears.
Sango nodded and closed the book in her hands. She placed the book on a nightstand next to Kagome's bed. She stood from her place in a chair, and left the room. She paused at the door and glanced at Kagome. "Have a good day." with that, she left.
Kagome sighed and looked out the window. She could hear the cries of the seagulls, and could smell the salty air from the ocean. The breeze brushed against her exposed skin, giving them a prickling sensation. She could hear the waves too, but sadly she couldn't see them.
Tears threatened to spill. She still couldn't get over the fact that she could never again see the wonders that earth had to give. Never to see the writing in books, or to see the waves gently move. Misery wrapped itself around her like a dark cloak.
She closed her eyes tight. The roar of thunder reached her ears. As her eyes were closed, her other senses were put in full gear. She could hear the raindrops splash on earth.
Ever since her vision went away, she's been able to sense where everything was. She knew exactly where everything in her room was right now. She could feel the presence of someone when they are near, and had no trouble getting around the castle by herself. Only, she could never know what color something was, she could never read....
Tears leaked down her face. Her hands lifted to her face, covering her eyes, as she cried. Her body racked with sobs, and her shoulders shook.
Her bedroom door burst open, and her main Sango, and her mother stood at the door. Kaori, her mother, ran to her. She knelt down next to her. "Kagome dear, please clam down. Please don't cry. It'll be alright." She tried soothing her princess. The queen couldn't stand seeing her Kagome cry, and what made it worse, is the she was completely helpless.
Kagome shook her head. It wasn't alright. She'd stay blind forever and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Sango tried to calm her, but nothing was working. Kagome's cries only grew louder.
Kagome lifted her tear stained face. Her blue-gray eyes stared into nothingness. "please...just get out." Her weak voice pleaded them.
Kaori slowly nodded her head. She looked at Sango and motioned her to come with her. She stood up and stared down at her daughter. Kagome's tears refused to stop. They ran down her face in rivulets and dripped from her chin. With one last glance, she left with Sango right behind her.
Kagome looked out the window when she heard the 'click' of the door. She closed her eyes and tried remembering what the ocean had looked like. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get the picture in her head. She gave up, and stood.
She walked to her bed and stood at its edge. She stripped from her gown and got under the covers. She wiped away the tears from her face and closed her eyes, falling asleep soon after.
