Yes, once again, another spur of the moment song fic. Bear with me. Although, I might continue this one. If you guys want me to. I'm starting a series of songfics that are just going to be different versions of Kag/Sess pairings. I will also take requests for songfics, rather it be for you or a loved one, so...yeah.

Summary: A simple songfic about Sesshoumaru's love for the one right girl, who's with the wrong boy. I can make it a full length fanfic if you want. I suck at summaries but read it. It's really good.

Chapter 1: Why are you with him?

*DING-DONG*

A small finger touched the soft button on the massive doorfame of the Takada mansion. She ran her hand through her ebony locks and took off her sunglasses, revealing her beautiful sapphire eyes.

The large door opened slowly to reveal a handsome young man. He had messy silver hair and golden/amer eyes that almost seem to glow. He yawned, showing the hint of fangs and the cute little triangle shaped ears on the top of his head twitched. He wore nothing but a pair of red boxers and baggy black pants.

She would normally have giggled at how cute he looked in the morning a few months back, but she just settled for a small smile.

"Hey Kaaahghome." he said yawning again.

"Hey Yash." She said giving him a peck on the cheek.

"Why you here so early?" He questioned, stretching.

"School. It's ditch day." She replied boredly, walking back inside and sitting on the couch.

"Oh, right." Inuyasha said, "Wait for me." He said walking back upstairs.

"Whatever, like I have a choice." she mumbled under her breath so that her couldn't hear her with his hanyou hearing.

*God broke the mold...When he made this one I know*

Unknown to her, another pair of cold golden eyes surveyed the scene with dissaproval.

'Why is she with that ass?' he thought looking at the girl who he's loved since they were children.

*She's breathtaking but so much more...*

He looked at her completly, from her long, slender legs to her beautiful sapphire eyes and raven hair with longing. He knew, as well as she, that Inuyasha was a cheater. But her kind and forgiving nature couldn't allow her to leave the one she loved. His heart cletched.

*She walks in the room, your lungs close....Making you never want to breathe again*

'Kagome, why do you stay by him? Why do you put yourself through so much tourture? You know that he cheats on you with that Kinky-Hoe bitch. You deserve better than him. Someone like me who can appreciate you and show you that your more than just a pretty face on my arm.' Alas, these were the words that he so sorely wished he could say to her. He had admired her fom afar for so many years, he didn't know how to approach her.

But today, today he was going to tell her. And if she rejected him, he didn't know what he would do. Sure, he had tons of girls (and women) throwing themselves at him at school, but he didn't care. And most people thought that he was cold and sheltered, with a frozen heart and a dead concience. But really, he was just a loner who was reaching for the unattainable. Well, in his eyes anyway.

He was about to go and say "hello" to her when he heard Inuyasha clumping down the stairs, looking for all the world like a Japanese version of Eminem.

*Her boyfriend has got so much dough...So much ice his neck and wrist froze*

Sesshoumaru sighed and pulled his silver hair into a ponytail at the nape of his neck with a black hair-tie. He brushed a strand of hair off of his black button up Silver Dragon shirt that was open with a black wifebeater underneath and stood, slightly pulling up his black baggy pants and grabbed his bookbag, his black acoustic and his silver and black electric guitar, he criss-crossed them on his back and grabbed his bike keys.

"You know, little brother, do-rags don't really work when your hair is (1) as messed up as yours, and (2) when your hair goes down to your waist." Sesshoumaru said looking at his idiotic younger brother with his abnormally cold gaze.

"Keh, shut the hellup, Sesshoumaru." InuYasha said, glaring at his older brother.

"Ohhh...smart comeback." He said monotoniously (is that even a word?) as he walked out of the house.

Sesshoumaru was the first one in the garage. Sesshoumaru went over to his black and silver Kawasaki motorcycle and glaced over to Inuyasha and Kagome who were getting into InuYasha's Escalade.

*Is he faithful to her? Hell no...*

InuYasha raised his eyebrows at Sesshoumaru's choice of vehicle today.

"Heh. Want to impress the ladies today, Sesshoumaru?" InuYasha said, smirking at his brother. Who glared at him and strapped his gituars onto the bike.

*But she chose to be with him, shorty*

"InuYasha, leave Sesshoumaru alone and let's go." Kagome said, getting into the car.

"Keh!" InuYasha said getting into the car.

Sesshoumaru shook his head slightly in annoyance, got on his motorcycle, and put on his black helmet. He opened the garage door and looked up at Kagome and InuYasha in the Escalade.

*Tell me is the money worth your soul?*

InuYasha stuck his head out of the window. "Wanna race?"

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes and started his engine. InuYasha grinned and they sped off toward Takeshin High.

Sesshoumaru of course won. Inuyasha cursed like a salior until Kagome bonked him on the head. He glared at her and rubbed the back of his head.

Sesshoumaru got off of his bike and walked a little ways behind InuYasha and Kagome. He went to his locker and put up his bookbag as InuYasha and Kagome walked to their group, Kagome recieving envious glares along the way.

*Tell me what's the reason that you hold on... When you know that dude... Has a whole wall of 'em just like you*

Kagome just looked at the rest of the girls in disinterest. The fed-up-with-InuYasha's-bullshit side of her started to make her say, "You can have him!", but she just couldn't. She loved him too much. Ever since they were children, she had loved him. But even she knew it was in vain.

*And girl you're just way too fine... Gotta be treated as one of a kind....Girl, use your mind*

Sesshoumaru sighed as the first bell rang and all of the seniors and juniors poured into the hallway. They all ran outside and got into their cars and trucks. The whole time Sesshoumaru kept his eyes on Kagome.

*Don't be just another dime, Because *

Everyone had finnally packed in the cars and everyone drove to the beach. Kagome rested her head on the window as she listened to Sango, Miroku, and Inuyasha chat inside the car.

Sango looked over at her sister-like friend. "Kagome? You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kagome said in a sighing tone.

InuYasha looked at her and frowned. "What crawled up your ass and died? It's ditch day, cheer up." He said.

Kagome rolled her eyes and looked back out the window.

Sesshoumaru pulled up alongside the truck and kept riding. He looked at Kagome through the dark helmet and nodded.

*I can't take...Seeing you with him*

Kagome smiled slightly and gave a small wave. She sighed. 'Why can't InuYasha be more like Sesshoumaru? Or at least the quiet part.' She thought.

They arrived at the beach and everyone immeadiatly spred out and changed into their bikini's or trunks or whatever.

Sango and Miroku went to grab a spot and Kagome got the cooler. InuYasha wandered off somewhere with his jock friends, leaving Kagome alone to tote the heavy cooler.

"Oof! This thing is really heavy." She said, struggling to walk with it.

"Here, let me get that for you." came a smooth voice behind her as the wieght of the cooler lessened.

"Thanks." Kagome mumbled out as she let go of the cooler. She looked up at her savior's face and nearly gasped. 'Sesshoumaru is helping me?!....... Well, then again, now that I think about it, maybe he isn't as much an asshole as all the girls say he is. I mean, he was always pretty civil to me. Even though I'm human.' she thought.

*It's just not fair...And it's tearing me apart*

Sesshoumaru looked at her shocked face and resisted the urge to grin. He took the cooler from her and asked where InuYasha and her friends were.

Kagome was slightly surprised. "They went to go find a spot and I have no idea where InuYasha is."

Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes. "And he left you here to carry this alone?"

"Yeah." Kagome said. "No big deal, though. He's an ass." She said.

"Why are you with him, then?" Sesshoumaru inquired as they walked to where Sango and Miroku had set up.

Kagome looked up at him, shocked.

*She's so confused...She knows she deserves more*

'OH MY GOD! Did SESSHOUMARU (a.k.a. Human-Hating-Icy-Assed-King-of-All-Evil) just ask me what I think he just asked me? Why does he care?! I mean, noone has ever asked me before and It's really none of his business and he probably doesn't care anyway but...he does have a point. Why am I with InuYasha? He cheats on me, lies to me, and then tries to get me in his bed every chance he got when I told him that I was saving myself for marriage. So, all in all, he is an ass. So, why do I want to be with him?' She thought to herself as she looked at him in shock.

*Someone who will love and adore*

"I-I don't know really..." Kagome trailed off as Sango and Miroku came into view. They quickly ran up to her and pulled her off while Sesshoumaru sat down the cooler by the blanket and left.

*But his money's hard to ignore...She really doesn't know what to do*

Kagome sighed. 'Where is he?' she thought as she waited patiently on the beach for InuYasha to return. She had been waiting for two hours now and Sango and Miroku had gone to the water to cool off.

*Girl it's just a matter of time...Before he finds another more fine*

She finnally gave up and decided to go look for him. Walking along the beach until she spotted him with her sister, Kikyou, in the water (A/N: Cliche I know, but hey, it's just a songfic.). Usually, the sight wouldn't have bothered her if not for how close they were and how he was smiling at her.

'Just like the way he used to smile at me...' she thought.

She felt tears spring to her eyes as he grabbed her around her waist and kissed her passionatly. She turned and walked away from the scene that hurt her so badly.

Sesshoumaru watched the scene in utter distaste. 'Bastard.'

*After he's done dulling your shine...*

Kagome sat on the sand, her head resting on her kness, trying to keep the tears at bay. She had been sitting here for two hours since the whole Kikyou and InuYasha incident, just thinking over her relationship and her love for him.

She had finnally come to realize, that it was just puppy love, and she only thought she loved him because he saved her from some bullies when they were children. 'He was just my knight in not-so-shining armor, I guess. I don't need him. And if he thinks I need him that badly, he can think again.'

Just when she came to this realization, a slight tap was felt on her right shoulder.

"Kagome." came a familiar gruff voice. "I need to talk to you."

Kagome looked up and resisted the urge to glare at him. "Yeah, I need to talk to you too." she said standing up.

*You're out the door and he's through with you.*

"Me first. Kagome, I don't really know how to tell you this but, I've kind of found someone. And I-I think I might love her so we're over." InuYasha said in a slightly guilty voice and his ears layed flat on his head, waiting for the yelling that was about to ensue.

Kagome could feel the tears in her eyes. But she refused to shed them. 'No, I won't cry over him anymore.' she told herself as she began to speak. "That's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about." she said calmly.

"Huh?" InuYasha said.

"Don't 'Huh?' me InuYasha. You didn't 'kind of find someone', you were cheating on me with my sister for at least a year. And don't deny it. I know because whenever I refused to have sex with you, you would storm out of the house. And I knew you went over to mine because Kikyou was a virgin before she moved here with our mom and when she met you, she wasn't. Plus, I could hear the noises and most of the time you were over there when I got home and it was just the two of you. So, go figure. I'm not an idiot InuYasha. And I guess it's partly my fault because everyday since the day you asked me out I found myself drifting farther and farther from my family just to be with you." she said still amazingly calm.

"Kagome-" He began.

*Tell me is the money worth your soul?*

"No. Shut up InuYasha. You listen to me now, I knew you were cheating and I knew that you didn't care, but I stood by you, even when your mother and Sesshoumaru's mother died, I stood by you. And then you call yourself breaking up with me and expecting me to cry and say 'please don't go?' Just because you're rich? InuYasha, I don't need or want your money like all of these other sluts you slept with, and I never did." she said.

"So you didn't care about all of the nice stuff I bought you then, huh?" InuYasha said, glaring at her.

"No! Dumbass! I just wanted you. But now, I don't even want to see you, smell you, hear about you, think about you, or even be 1,000 miles of anywhere where you are! But you are right about one thing though. We ARE over, so go back to my slut of a sister!" Kagome said as she stormed away, leaving a guilty looking InuYasha in her wake.

Kagome now sat on the beach in the twilight sun, and feeling a little happier that she finnally told InuYasha how she felt. She just watched the ocean quietly, just loving the serene peace that she hadn't felt in a long while. 'You know...that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Maybe...I really didn't love him after all.' she thought.

"Are you alright?" came a familiar deep voice beside her.

*And girl you're just way to fine...Gotta be treated as one of a kind...Girl, use your mind*

Kagome looked over to her right. "Yeah, I'm fine Sesshoumaru."

"I saw what happened between you and my baka of a half-breed brother earlier." He said in his soothing deep voice and sat down by her in the sand.

"Yeah, well...he's an asshole anyway. And he deserves to be feeling how he's feeling right now." Kagome said, looking out at the ocean again.

"Hmph, I know you don't mean that, Kagome." He said.

*Don't be just another dime...Because*

Kagome looked at him in shock for what seemed like the tenth time that day. 'He knows my name? And how does he know I don't mean that?'

"How?"

The very question he had been dreading. He would tell her, but what if she rejected him? What if she thought he was just as heartless as everyone portrayed him to be? Hell, what if she was right and the words came out more cruel than what they were ment to? He just sighed and pushed away those thoughts while gathering up his courage and reading himself for what he was about to tell reveal to her. 'I mean, the worst she could say is 'No I don't like you that way.', right? No big deal.' He thought, trying in vain to boost himself up, in one last dying effort not to chicken out and keep his secret all to himself. Even when he knew that that was the last thing he wanted to hear from her.

*I can't take...Seeing you with him*

He sighed again and looked her in the eye. "Because I've watched you and Inuyasha for a long time. Since we were children actually. And I know how much of a caring person you can be, you wouldn't wish anything bad on anyone. And you wouldn't have the heart to hate anyone either." he said.

Kagome blinked. He was right. "How do you figure?" she said.

*Cause I know exactly what you'll be..in his gallery*

"Remember that time when you and InuYasha were in second grade, and you were playing behind the house in the forest with him?"

"Yeah, and I found a baby wolf. And I thought it was lost, so I picked it up and the mother attacked me when she came. And InuYasha ran to the house to get Mr. Inu-Tashio."

*It's just not fair...And it's tearing me apart*

"Yeah. And you had to go to the hospital and get stiched and everything. And most people would have phobia's of wolves and dogs, but you went right back into that forest and apologized to them for intruding on their home, remember?" Sesshoumaru said.

'Well, he has a point. I mean, it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I really shouldn't have picked up the baby wolf until I was sure that it's mother was dead. But-' the question she wanted to ask so bad came out before she even knew it.

"Why do you even care?" Kagome said.

Sesshoumaru looked at her. Seriousness, hope, and was that love? Burning in his molten golden eyes as the sun set over the ocean.

"Kagome..." He seemed at a loss for words.

"What?" Kagome asked after a few moments. 'Sesshoumaru tounge-tied? Never thought I'd see the day.'

*You're a masterpiece...I know that he*

He took a deep breath. 'Here we go.' he thought.

"I care because ever since you first stumbled into our yard that day when you were running from those bullies, I felt the need to protect you from all of the danger in the world. I fought off the bullies and took you inside. InuYasha only led you believe it was him because you saw him first and I was too prideful to fight for the affections of a mere human." He said, looking out towards the ocean.

Kagome blinked at him and thought a while over what he said before he began speaking again.

*Can't appreciate your beauty...Don't let him cheapen you...*

"And every day, you would come back. And in my mind, I hated you more and more for being human and hanging around my hated half-brother all of the time. Then, when I found out that we went to the same school, at first I was disgusted, but then, I saw how caring you could be. And how warm-hearted and beautiful you were as well, even as a child. I soon grew to take notice of your growing love for InuYasha and mine for you..." He said trailing off.

*He don't see you like I do...Beautiful not just for show*

Kagome gasped and looked at him in surprise. He turned his head to look at her directly in the eyes, and for the first time, she saw the fire and intense emotions burning there.

"Wh-what?" she stuttered.

*It's time that someone let you know*

"Kagome...I...I love you. I always have. And even if you reject me, know this." he said with a seriousness that almost scared her. "I will be there for you. And I will protect you from any harm, ever." He said looking at her.

Kagome was in shock. 'So...Sesshoumaru was my knight after all. That's why I didn't really love InuYasha, because it was really him, and I just didn't know it.'

"Sesshoumaru...I-" she began.

"Sesshoumaru! Come on! We're on in about ten minutes!" Ah yelled. He was standing with his twin brother Un.

*I can't take...Seeing you with him*

Sesshoumaru mentally cursed and yet blessed the dragon youkais' impecably bad timing and arose, giving a apologetic look to Kagome.

He was walking away, until-

"Sesshoumaru! I'll talk to you after your show, okay?" she called.

He looked back at her and nodded.

*It's just not fair...And it's tearing me apart*

The crowd went wild as he strummed the last chord and the remnants of his voice faded into the speakers.

Sesshoumaru stepped off stage and pushed himself throught the crowd of girls who were falling all over him (as usual) and walked towards the one girl that he really wanted to talk to.

Just as he was about to call out to her, InuYasha came and grabbed her arm, mumbling something to her and hauling her off.

Sesshoumaru growled. He'd be damned if his bother hurt her ever again. He followed behind and was shocked as he saw InuYasha roughly trying to push his tounge into Kagome's mouth.

*I can't take...Seeing you with him*

He lost all control as his eyes turned blood red. He knocked InuYasha off of her and held him high over his head by the throat.

"Sesshoumaru! What the fuck?!"

Sesshoumaru only managed an evil growl.

*'Cause I know exactly what you'll be....In his gallery*

"Leave...her...ALONE!!!" he snarled, tossing his brother into the water a good nine feet.

*It's just not fair...And it tearing me apart*

Kagome gasped. A memory of when she was young appeared in her mind.

*Flashback*

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!!!!!" A fiece snarl rang out.

"AHHH! HE'S A MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!" Screamed the boys as they quickly ran from the lush green yard.

A young Kagome looked on in fear as the monster turned to her. He had...glowing red eyes.... and beautiful silver hair, and...were his ears pointed?

'Wow...' she thought drawing nearer, until the monster growled at her. She 'eeped' and stumbled backwards, falling and hitting her head.

When her eyes opened again, a cute boy about her age sat on the edge of her bed blinking. "Who are you?"

"Ow. My name is Kagome."

"Inuyasha. Let's be friends, okay?"

*End Flashback*

Tears came to her eyes as she remembered that day.

"Sesshoumaru!" Kagome called, quickly running through the sand to him.

Sesshoumaru pushed his beast back inside only to hear his name being called. He turned just in time to catch a flying Kagome.

She hugged him tight. "Thank you..."

"For what?" he asked, being so overjoyed at being able to hold her in his arms he didn't know what to do.

"Saving me." she said looking up at him with those big sapphire eyes that shone for the first time in months with--his heart skipped a beat-- was that love?

Sesshoumaru nodded. "Your welcome." he said, giving her a smile.

Kagome grinned back. "You need to do that more often. Also--" she cut herself off as she kissed him.

Sesshoumaru's eyes widened as she kissed him, but he quickly kissed her back. They broke apart and slightly panted.

"You can do that more too." she finished, thankful that he was holding her so she wouldn't stagger.

Sesshoumaru let out a low chuckle as the walked back to the party.
