When You and I collide by Angelface1710
Collide
This fanfic was based on the song Collide by Howie Day.
I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters
I do not expect anyone but one person to understand the true meaning of this story.
The dawn is breaking
A light shinning through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
The first light of dawn is shinning as Sesshoumaru sits and watches from afar. Her face begins to glow in the light as she stirs from her sleep. He wonders to himself 'how is she doing this to me. She is barely awake and all I can think about is her.'
I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I wont see your face
Light up again.
Somehow the thought of not seeing her smile again tugged at the strings of his heart (which was no longer cold and dead). He wanted to make her happy make her smile.
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find you and I collide
He knew he was strong. He was a demon lord. How could he not be strong? For a long time he wondered to himself how could he have fallen for a human? Demons weren't meant to fall in love. His mind was filled with doubt. He doubted whether she would accept him. 'Will she love me? Does she hate me? How would the rest of the court react to him mating with a human?'
He finally decided that nothing mattered except for her and the way she made him feel.
He knew he would always appreciate her. He knew he had tried to kill her a couple of times, but hoped that she would eventually forgive him. He knew she had a good heart, she was pure.
In the back of his mind he knew that they would be great together. Yes they had their differences and yes they were natural enemies..... but he loved her and he couldn't escape it.
I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know
I'm always on your mind.
(Sesshoumaru)
"How could we possibly make a match?"
I am solitary and she on the other hand has a.......... very friendly and sunny disposition.. 'We would look so strange together. I look so rough and you are so soft...'

'The first time I saw you, you were beautiful'.
'The first time I noticed you was purely by accident. I was looking for someone else.
I didn't know you would be there.'
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find you and I collide
Sesshoumaru finally decided to confront Kagome. She was making her way back to camp after having snuck to her time.
"Kagome"
Sesshoumaru said in the softest voice he could muster. Kagome turned around, she wanted to be scared. But how could one be scared of the sweetness in his voice.
"Hello Sesshoumaru, what brings you here?"
"Kagome I have a private matter that I need to discuss with you." She felt very happy that day and strong otherwise she may have fainted. She guided him to a tree, and sat beneath it, he soon followed. She could feel the love inside herself.
'Oh god this is so wrong! Why am I so comfortable. Its not like I should be trusting him. Yeah he's probably going to chop me up into little pieces'
They spoke about many things and they eventually reached one particular topic, 'music'. He said "I do not have time for such trivial matters."
"Hey! I happen to love music."
"Show me music." He told her.
"I don't have any with me..."
"Well then sing for me."
Kagome looked surprised for a second and then began to sing. She was a little shy at first but decided that she was going to make it through the song. Sesshoumaru had never heard such a sweet melody. She sang it beautifully; she sang a song called I Don't Know Why.
Kagome's Point of view
Kagome was overwhelmed by an intense feeling as she began to sing. She felt as if they were meant to be. As if in another life time they had met. The way her heart accepted him scared her. That day, the words to that song meant a lot more than they ever had.
I waited 'til I saw the sun
I don't know why I didn't come
I left you by the house of fun
I don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come
I feel as if I know you. As if somehow in another life I was too scared to meet you. I have waited my whole life for you love, I will not run away from you. I will come.
When I saw the break of day
I wished that I could fly away
Instead of kneeling in the sand
Catching teardrops in my hand
This feels like some sort of premonition. I'm scared. This is going to hurt a lot, But I think you're worth it
My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind
Forever
Out across the endless sea
I would die in ecstasy
But I'll be a bag of bones
Driving down the road along
My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind
Forever
I don't know why I didn't come before. But this time I know it is you. I love you
Something has to make you run
I don't know why I didn't come
I feel as empty as a drum
I don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come
Normal Point of view
Of course he noticed that her voice cracked a couple of times. She was not the best singer in the world; but to him that didn't matter. At this moment she was. It was perfect because she revealed her heart and soul to him. Her voice came from the depths of her heart and it was all for him. She sang it for him and it meant the world.
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
That you and I collide
After she finished the song she knew this was special. That the person next to her was going to change her life. Nothing..... not any single instance in her life had felt this magical, this wonderful.
He asked her if she would accompany him to the meadow to watch the sun set. She was surprised at this request. It was almost dusk.
"There's no way that we'll make it" Kagome said.
"I'm faster than you think." He replied.
"I know that... but you're not that fast. We only have a couple of minutes."
"If I make it there before sundown, then you have to give me a kiss." He smirked
"Okay it's a deal"
She knew that even though he was a demon and she was a human that she had to follow her instinct and go for it. She trusted him even though he had never given her any reason to. They got on his cloud and flew away.
As fate would have it, they made it before sunset. She was so surprised that she momentarily forgot about their agreement. Sesshoumaru remembered the bet.
"You owe me a kiss"
She was so stunned that he would ask so bluntly, that gave him a little peck.
Sesshoumaru was disappointed in the kiss. He expected it to be a little more passionate.
'I guess I was wrong about her, she is not interested in me'
Kagome did not think much of the kiss. All she knew was that it was not the kiss she wanted. 'Damn that's not how I wanted the first kiss to be. I wanted it to be soft and sweet and definitely when we are directly watching the sunset.'
Sesshoumaru and Kagome proceeded to sit under a beautiful Sakura blossom tree. The wind played softly with her hair as some of the blossoms swirled around.
He thought that she looked absolutely beautiful. She thought he looked like a god. His broad shoulders and beautiful skin, his pearly white teeth and fangs, and his amazing size. They were making her extremely hot.
She felt the heat inside her body begin to rise and she became a little bolder. Kagome leaned over and asked him why he hadn't tried to kiss her yet.
Sesshoumaru leaned towards her and took her chin in his hands and kissed her. It was the most beautiful kiss she had ever had.
His lips were moist and tender. They warmed up her body from the inside out. It was the most perfect kiss of her life. It felt just right.
The way his lips pressed up against her. The way that he used just the right amount of force.
Sesshoumaru took her lower lip in between his lips and massaged it. While she massaged his upper lip with hers. Kagome had her hands on his neck and face holding him closer to her.
She could feel the pressure build up in her nether regions. The way it contracted around some imaginary object. Her nipples perked up at the sensation. The wetness in between her legs gathered.
Sesshoumaru was no better. The bulge in his pants hardened unbelievably. He could feel himself throb with need. He felt his hand slide up to her breast. The feel alone was enough to make him groan slightly in her mouth.
After some time they parted. She knew it was getting late and she should return. She didn't want them to get worried and start looking for her.
She looked up at him and smiled. She knew she loved him even if she was not yet ready to admit it. Sesshoumaru also knew that this little woman in his arms was going to be his. He formed his cloud and proceeded to take her back home.
They would have plenty of time to continue what they started.
