Prologue - The Beginning

Kagome has seen a lot of things that no one in her time would ever dream of knowing. She is an elemental miko-kitsune and princess of the Northern Lands. Her mother is Lady Anika and her father is Lord Kai of the Higurashi clan.

She has all of the elements in her control and she has her miko powers but she had a major power increase when Midoriko gave her her memories through her dreams. (Kagome is Midoriko's reincarnation, not Kikyo's)

(A/N: Now that I gave you a little taste of Kagome's history, let's get on with the story...)

Kagome just came back from her time in the future and she has some news for the group back at camp.

She wants to tell them that she's leaving for her home at the Northern Lands, but what she finds when she's on her way to their camp would definitely want her to make her trip extremely early.

(Hmmm... what can that be? Take a quick guess!)

Inuyasha and Kikyo are in a clearing making sweet love to each other. (I am being very sarcastic here! Like anyone can be satisfied with sleeping with an undead clay pot bitch. Gross!)

Kagome gets upset and suddenly feels a growing inner power in her and she wants to shoot it at them so she can be satisfied, but she keeps it inside until she arrives to where the rest of the gang are.

Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara are by the campfire when they see Kagome shooting her arrows against some trees but instead of the usual pink aura coating the arrows, they see pink combined with a dark red and black.

(A/N: I am putting the character dialogue like this so you may not get confused with who's who.)

"Kagome! What's wrong?" (Sango)

"Lady Kagome, are you all right?" (Miroku)

"Okaa-san, are you okay? What did Inu-baka do this time?" (Shippo)

Kagome in her anger responds to them like this: "When they get here, you'll see! I am going to be leaving for the Northern Lands to see my father. I don't know if I'll be coming back, but you guys can come and visit me.

Sango, Miroku, I am the princess of the Northern Lands and I must return to see my family. I'll see you soon. Shippo, do you want to come with me?"

"Sure, okaa-san! It's better than seeing Inu-baka and the clay pot. I was wondering, are you going to adopt me in youkai terms?" (Shippo)

"Yes. Shippo, do you want to know why I left to live in the future?" (Kagome)

"No, okaa-san. Tell me, please, please, please! I promise I won't tell anyone except Sango and Miroku." (Shippo)

"Okay, as you know now, I am a youkai but not just any youkai. I am an elemental miko-kitsune, so I can really adopt you Shippo. You see, we were in a war between the four lands. My father was in alliance with Inutaisho, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's father. The South and the East were along in the crossfire as well. My father thought it was a good idea to send my mother, Souta and I away from the danger. Do you want to know how the well was created?" (Kagome)
