Leaving you

Here is a short One-Shot. I'm not sure if I really like it, but here is something that popped in my head and I just had to write it. Hope you like it.

She ran. As fast as her legs could take her. The only thing that kept her going was the sound of another's footsteps behind her. "Wait!" A voice yelled. She shook her head as she ran. "Leave me alone!" She yelled back. "Ah!" She fell forward and hit the ground. She looked over her shoulder to see a figure running toward her.

She stood up, but before she could take two steps A hand grabbed her wrist. She looked over her shoulder and saw Sesshomaru. "Leave me alone!" She yelled. She tried to pull her wrist out of his grasp but with no results. She glared up at him. "Let me go!" She yelled. She pulled more frantically. "What are you running away from?" He asked calmly. She looked up at him.

"What am I running away from?" She asked. She stopped pulling. "I'm leaving this hell hole." He frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked. 'I mean, I'm leaving. I don't want to be here anymore." She said. He looked deep into her eyes. "Why?" he asked. "I have nothing going for me. I-I don't have any money, and I just want to leave." She replied.

His frown deepened. "What about your father?" He asked. She chuckled. "Where have you been these past few months? My father is dead. He died two days after my birthday." Sesshomaru gulped. "He's dead?" Kagome nodded.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

~All aboard! The train will be leaving in a few minutes.~

"What about his money? Didn't he give it to you?" he asked. She shook her head. "He gave it all to Rin." She answered. "Your little sister?" He asked. She nodded. Her eyes filled with sadness when she looked deep into his amber depths.

"What happened to you? What happened to our friendship? Those days when we spent all our days together, now, I can't even remember when you spent even a few minutes alone with me." His eyes saddened. "Kags I-" She shook her head. "Work right? I understand that. I have it too. What I don't understand is how you let that take over you? how-why would you just abandon me?!"

He shook his head. He remebered when she would call him but he would never answer because he was stuck to his computer, typing out some work he had left. "I didn't mean to." He continued. "I promise, that next time-" She cut him off with a laugh. "Next time? Sesshomaru, I'm leaving. There won't be a next time. You wouldn't believe how many of those promises you told me..." She looked to the side. "Tell me, Do you ever remember fulfilling those promises?" She asked.

He sighed. He haden't. All those promises, and with each broken promise, he hope of having their friendship like before slowly faded away. "no." He answered simply.

Ding!Ding! Ding!

~All aboard! The train WILL be leaving in 3 minutes.~

She shook her head. "I'm sorry. But maybe what I'm running away from-" She turned around so that her back was facing him. "-is you." He looked up at her. His heart seemed to stop at those words.

"Until we meet again, Sesshomaru-Sama." Shje started walking away when she stopped. She looked over her shoulder. "My fathers last wishes was for me to be happy....with you." His head snapped up but only saw her retreating back.

He walked back to his car. He placed his hand over the handle. His shoulders shook a little. He remembered her last words before she entered the train.

"He probably would have never guessed, I would be leaving you."

Those were her last words. Yet, He had so much respect for her father, He was determind to fulfill his last wishes.

Even if it means having to travel to the ends of this screwed up planet, then so be it. He gave small smile.

"You haven't seen the the last of me, Kagome Higurashi. And next time, I really do promise, I'm going to make you happy." He opened the door and got inside. He closed the door and turned on the car. "No more broken promises." He whispered.

Kagome sighed as she slept. "I'll hold you to that promise....Sesshomaru-kun." She muttered. The person besides her looked at her. "How does she know my dumb ass brother?" He asked to no one.

"Interesting."
