Strange how one falls in love so easily. I vowed that I would never allow my emotions to best me. Even in times of absolute anger and outrage. But this... woman, no- girl, this girl just walks into my life and messes with the flow of everything.
From day one when I walked into the coffee shop I knew my life would change forever, rather it where for the good or the bad... I just knew it would change.
""""""""""""""""""""""Day one"""""""""""""""""""""""""
The day was long and tiring. Spent mostly on unnecessary delays at the institute, and pestering women. So I had decided to make a stop at the neighboring café to relax a little. Who knew that this café would soon become my favorite?
The moment I stepped through the door all went quiet. Not an unordinary reaction to my presence. I walked in casually as always, and read the sign that was written largely in what seemed to be magic marker and chalk. Strange combination I might add. But I spent little time studying the sign that read 'Please Seat Yourself! Someone Will Be With You Shortly ^_^!!!'
I sat myself at the table nearest to the corner. As soon as I was seated a young woman came walking frantically fixing her apron. She pulled out a pen and notepad and calmly said after many deep breaths. "Hello sir welcome to Sweet Home Memories, how may I help you this fine day?"
She was gorgeous. It was the only way to put it. Her bright blue eyes, full pink lips, and her messy raven locks.
Yes... I admit it; I checked her out, but not noticeably. After giving her a quick once over I remembered what she had asked, and I told her I'd have the house special and some chocolate cheesecake with a strawberry on top. She smiled brightly and said cheerfully. "Will that be all sir?" With my nod of approval she said she'd be back momentarily and ran off to retrieve my order.
"Hey Kagome!" a deep feminine voice called. "You are like super lucky! Did you see how hot that guy was?" She practically yelled.
"No Sango I didn't. He's a customer, when they walk in I only see dollars." She replied sarcastically. "What do you think I am? A robot! Of course I saw how hot he was! I'm just not interested. Besides... he's probably already got somebody."
"Awe! Come one Kagome be a little out going and slip him your number when you give him his check!" Sango replied enthusiastically.
"No! I absolutely refuse! That man is probably hassled enough by beautiful women everyday! And I bet he's refused tons. Plus he looks kind of mean." Kagome answered in return.
"Awe! Come on Gome! It never hurts to be a little adventurous. The worst thing he could possibly say is I'm not interested!" Sango yelled.
"Maybe that's easy for you to say and do, but I'm not you Sango-chan! Maybe it worked for you and that Miroka guy or what ever his name is, but I'm not into doing those sort of things!"
"His name is Miroku! And.... And.... Well, just shut up and take Mr. Hottie his order."
Kagome laughed a little then stepped out of the kitchen with a smile plastered on her face. She walked carefully towards him with the trey in her hands. "Here you are sir. My name is Kagome, if you need anything else just call for me." The man with white hair simply nodded and didn't give her a second glance.

For some odd reason I felt at ease in this small coffee shop, the smells are comforting, and, hmmm the food's not bad.
I think I might have to venture here more often.
That girl... she looked so familiar. Maybe I've held a presentation at her university once?
That had to be it, or maybe I've just seen her around. I just don't understand why I had never really paid more attention to her.
I'd defiantly be coming back tomorrow. She just made things a little easier to bear just from her smile and energetic exterior.
"Kagome." I called when I saw her. "Yes?" she replied jubilantly. "I'm ready for my check." I said "Right away!" She replied
She walked over to me with haste and pulled out a black billfold placing it on my table. She smiled brightly and carried on about her business.
As I opened the billfold I sniffed the air a bit. She smelled nice I thought to myself. I looked at my receipt and placed what I owed in one of the compartments. Then I noticed in small letters on the back of the receipt, 'She likes you too!' I looked at Kagome and figured it couldn't have been her who wrote such a thing. Then I looked at the woman at the cash register. She looked into my eyes for a brief moment and winked at me. I could only assume that 'she' was the waitress girl, Kagome.
I gave the woman a board expression then wrote back out of plain curiosity. 'Make sure she's here tomorrow.' I looked at her again and she was smiling. I placed the receipt back in its rightful place and rose from my seat. I took three dollars out of my wallet laid them on the table and handed the woman the billfold. As I did so she said "Thank you for coming to Sweet Home Memories! And come again Sir."
The moment I walked out that door... I knew my life would never be the same.
