Three best friends stood outside the towering building. The courtyard was getting busier with the rushing about of the first day of school. Leaves tossled in the autumn breeze.

The three best friends all pondered what this school year would bring. Last year was utter turmoil as friendships were divided and backs stabbed. They were a tight group, gaining more friends as the years grew by. The backbone of the the gang was Kagome Higurashi. She has quite the reputation. The kind girl who loves everyone, and everyone loves her. But get on her bad side and your ass will be kicked. But not by her, of course. You'd have to get through one of the many friends and alies she has gained over the years first. And quite the array of friends she has. From the leader of the Wolves, the Prep King, the Badass trouble maker, to the Aristocrat himself; you fuck with her, you fuck with them.

It's a wonder why such a sweet girl would have such friends. Sweet as she may be, she's one of the most trouble-making person in school. Gotta have some way to balance out the good.

The wind continued to tossel the changing leaves as the trio ventured through the school courtyard, Kagome acknowledging her aquaintences.

'The Shichinintai, the Ryu brothers....who is missing?'

The wind seemed to pick up around them as a handsomely rugged young man appeared before Kagome, her hands clasped against his chest.

"Why hello, Kagome, have you finally come to be wisked away by me and become my woman?" He arrogantly inquired, his sharp eyes piercing intently into hers.

Behind them, Miroku leaned over to Sango, "He's smoothe...I should take notes from him, then maybe I'd be able to find a woman to bear my chi-" He was abruply cut off as a flying fist flew through the air and he crumbled to the ground unconcious.

Kagome had on her infamous grin as always, her eye slightly twitching. "We've been through this before, Kouga, I am not your woman, and if you suggest it again, I will have you elininate your ability to walk straight. Now, please, let go,"

Everyone sweat-dropped, the same thought racing through their heads. If she can be this scary even with her cheerful voice, it would be really bad to see her when she's really pissed.

"Aw, come on, Kags, ya know I was joking...heh.." He rubbed his head uncertainly, "uhh...so, how's you? Inu-kuro isn't giving you any shit, is he, 'cause ya know I'll kick his ass."

Kagome's eyes flashed. "No, Kouga, no problems." She said in an eerie, distant voice.

"Good."

With that, he swung his arm around her shoulder in a friendly manner and walked down a random hallway. At the other end of the hallway, a couple was making their way through the opposite direction. Tension was felt around all the students in the hall as Inuyasha and Kikyou came closer to the group of friends. All eyes watched on as the two groups came closer and closer....all expecting a confrontation.

Everyone breathed a breath of relief as Kagome just walked on, not giving them a glance. She nearly smirked at his clear unease.

'Silly, silly Inuyasha. What a fool you are..'
