Chapter One

He stood there looking out the window of his room. He couldnt get the last words she said to him

before she was gone. His heart was telling him to run after her, but why? If she really cared then

why is she leaving. He was confused the only thing he knew to do was stand there and watch her leave.

"Go after her stupid!" Inuyasha was yelling at him.

Sesshomaru turned around and growled "This is none of your business."

Inuyasha walked up to him and pouched him in the stomach and said "The hell it isnt, your letting the love of your life just walk out the door. I care to much about Kagome to just sit here and watch her get hurt and you standing there isnt making anything better, you asshole."

Sesshomaru grabbed his stomach and looked up at Inuyasha and screamed "GET OUT!"

Inuyasha looked at Sesshomaru and said "I thought you was better than that, I guess I was wrong. Your will always be stubborn and will never following your heart."

Inuyasha walked out and slammed the door behind him. Sesshomaru caught his breath and than sat on his bed.

'What does he want me to do. I cant make her stay nomatter what I say. I do love her, but this isnt going to make anything better.' He thought

to himself while picking up the gift Kagome gave him before she left.

~Flashback~

*Three weeks before*

Sesshomaru heard the door bell rings and answered it, seeing it was Kagome he invited her in and asked what brought her here.

Kagome in tears ran to Sesshomaru and said "Sessy I am leaving for America in three weeks. I know I should have told you earlier, but I didnt know what to say."

"Kags, its ok. Why are you going to America?" Sesshomaru asked brushing her hair from her face.

"I cant tell you, the only thing I can tell you is that I cant be your girlfriend anymore and that I do love you, but this is for the best." Kagome said giving Sesshomaru a a soft kiss on the lips before running out the door.

"Kagome!" Sesshomaru screamed, but she was already gone.

~EndFlashback~

He didnt see Kagome til the day she was to leave.

Kagome in tears walked up to Sesshomarus room with a box in hand. 'This is for the best, he cant know why, he wouldnt understand.' she thought knocking on his door.

"Come in." Sesshomaru said in a low tone. He knew it was Kagome cause she called earlier and said she was coming over to give him something.

"Sessy, I am so sorry. I wish I could tell you. I know this hurts, it hurts me worse having to do it. I do love you and I always will." Kagome said laying the box on his bed before turning to leave.

"Why dont you just tell me, I can take the pain, hell there isnt anymore pain I cant take after this." Sesshomaru said facing her.

"I cant. Your wouldnt understand. You not knowing is the best. Move on with your life. You said you wanted to be a Doctor." Kagome said

Walking towards her he said "Not without you, I cant do anything without you, Kags ."

She looked up at him and said " Sessy, I am so sorry." After that she turned and ran out.

~That takes us to where we are now. Sesshomaru sitting on his bed looking at the box Kagome left.~

'This isnt like Kagome, I wonder what going on. Maybe I should ask her mother, but first let me open this box.' Sesshomaru thought to himself.

Sesshomaru opened the box. He couldnt believe what was inside. It was a scrapbook, with pictures of them, places they visited. Their Senior Prom picture was on the front cover. 'God, Kags looked so beautiful that night, and so happy.' Sesshomaru thought.

He flipped through the book and at the very last page was something that wasnt is their memories. Kagome was standing next to Shrine, it didnt look like her shrine. In the picture was a little girl and a boy. They was standing infront of the shrine, what looked like was holding hands.

Sesshomaru was shocked. He didnt recall Kagome saying anything about this. 'Maybe this happened before she meet me. She has told me everything, but why not this. I should find out, before she leaves for good. Her plane doesnt leave til 9pm, that gives me 5 hrs.' Sesshomaru thought to himself grabbing his car keys and walking out the door.

It didnt take him long to get to Kagomes shrine. He walked up the stairs and knocked on the door.

"Well, Hello there, Sesshomaru, I am sorry Kagome isnt here, she went to see her friends before she leaves." Mrs. Higurashi said.

"Hello, Mrs Higurashi. I am not here to see Kagome. I wanted to ask you something." He said taking the picture out of his pocket.

"Why sure Sesshomaru, was is it you would like to know?" She asked leading him to the couch.

They sat down and Sesshomaru sat there for a min and said "Kagome gave me a scrapbook when she stopped by today and at the last page I found this picture, I have never seen this before nor have I seen this Shrine, May I ask where this picture was taken?"

Mrs Higurashi took the picture from Sesshomaru and gasped saying "This is the Yuns Shrine in America. This picture was taking when Kagome was 5. The little boy in the picture is Hojo Yun. I knew his parents very well. We havent seen them since Kagome was 13.

Sesshomaru was curious of why they was holding hands. "Mrs Higurashi, may I ask why they are holding hands?"

She took his hand and said "That was a arrangement ceremony, meaning that when Kagome and Hojo became of age they were to be married. My husband, me and Hojos parents both decided that for both families to live on the Higurashi and Yun family should be embrassed. Til she meet you Sesshomaru the plan was going to be fulfilled, but I saw something in you that I dont see in Hojo and thats pure love. I told her about the arrangement and she was hurt, I told her she didnt have to go threw with it, but she said that it was her duty.

Sesshomaru didnt know what to say. 'She should have told me.' he thought.

"Is there a way to stop the arrangement?" Sesshomaru asked.

"There is, but you must not let her get on that plane, Sesshomaru I know you love her. I see it in your eyes. Please go to her before the makes the biggest mistake of her life." She said giving

Sesshomaru a hug and leaving.

"Thank you." Sesshomaru said before walking about the door.

Sesshomaru wasnt sure where she would be at this time. 'I dont think she has seen Inuyasha yet, let me call him and see" he thought.

Sesshomaru dailed Inuyasha number, it rang like 5 times before Inuyasha picked it up.

"WHAT!" Inuyasha screamed into the phone.

"Have you seen Kagome?" Was all Sesshomaru asked.

Inuyasha looked and the phone and noticed it was Sesshomarus numbers and said "Not yet, she is meeting me at the Cafe in about 30 mins, why?"

"Dont let her leave, I need to speak to her, and if you care about her as much as you say you do, than you will do it." Sesshomaru said before hanging up.

'Geezh, whats his problem' Inuyasha thought while walking to the Cafe.

Sesshomaru got back into is car and started towards the Cafe. Inuyasha and Kagome where sitting at the Cafe talking about old times, and how they will miss seeing each other, but Kagome pormised to keep in touch from time to time. Kagome was about to leave when Inuyasha grabbed her by the arm and said

"Stay here for just alittle longer, it wont hurt. I mean your going across the world and I want to spend a couple more mins with my best friend."

Kagome blushed and sat back down and said "Ok, but not long, I still have some packing to do."

Sesshomaru drove into the parking lot of the Cafe and turned the car off and just sat there. 'What if she says no.' He slapped himself on the forhead 'She wont if you tell her.' Sesshomaru got out of the car and walked into the Cafe. He saw

Kagome and Inuyasha sitting at the far table talking and laughing. He walked up to Kagome and tapped her on the shoulder and asked

"Kags, can I talk to you for a min?"

Kagome turned around and said "Sure Sessy." She turned to Inuyasha and said "I will only be a min, ok?"

Inuyasha smiled and said "Yea sure, like thats the truth."

Sesshomaru and Kagome walked outside. Kagome set on the hood of Sesshomarus Corvette and asked "What is it Sessy? If its about me leaving I cant tell you so dont ask."

Sesshomaru walked to Kagome and said "I love you Kags, I have loved your from the first time I saw you. I just want to know why you didnt tell me about this sooner." handing her the picture.

Kagome tooked the picture and looked at him and said "Cause I didnt want to hurt you. When my mom told me, I was heartbroken. I didnt want to marry Hojo, I wanted to marry you, but I thought it was my duty to my family to go along with the arrangement. I didnt tell you cause I didnt know how you would react."

"React, Kags you didnt even tell me why you was leaving you just told me you was and than left. I will love you nomatter what. You should have told me after your mom told you. I talked to her awhile ago she told me there is a way to stop the arrangement, but we have to go to the Shrine."

Sesshomaru said hugging Kagome close.

Hugging his back tightly she said "I thought you would think badly of me, oh Sessy I love you."

"I will never think badly of you and plus this wasnt your fault, nor your duty." Sesshomaru said opening his car door for her.

They drove to the Shrine hand in hand. When they got to the Shrine they meet with Mrs Higurashi.

"The only way to false the arrange marriage is to get married, my child." She told Kagome.

"Married, are you sure about that mother?" Kagome asked with a puzzled face.

"Yes my dear, I see you and Sesshomaru in the future." She said walking towards them, joining their hands together.

Kagome looked and Sesshomaru and said "You sure you want to do this?"

Sesshomaru held her hand tighter and said "With all my heart."

Mrs Higurashi performed the cermony in front of the Higurashi Shrine. Kagome was know Mrs. Kagome Intusia and she loved it.

"Mom, thank you so much, but what about the Yun

family?" Kagome asked.

"I will call them and tell them that I am sorry to announce that my daughter got married" she told her.

Kagome turned around and saw Sesshomaru standing there and talking and said "Sessy, whats the matter?"

Sesshomaru turned around and said "Nothing, just thanking someone out loud."

Kagome smiled and said " I love you Sessy."

Sesshomaru smiled back and said "I love you too, Kags"
