Chapter 1: The Battle

Sesshoumaru's body fell limply to the floor as Inuyasha finished using Bakyuuryaha on him. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes. *I hope Rin doesn't see me like this... Where is Rin? *

Just then Rin ran out of the woods and raced towards Sesshoumaru, tears streaming down her face as the sight of Inuyasha's bloody sword swinging into the bleeding Sesshoumaru came into her vision. She screamed and ran to Sesshoumaru, throwing herself into his lap. Inuyasha was dumbfounded by the little girl's actions. Miroku grabbed Inuyasha's arm and said, "That's enough, Inuyasha. You did enough damage for now... Let's go." And with that, Inuyasha "fehed" and the group walked away from the still bleeding Sesshoumaru and the little Rin with tears pouring down her face.

Kagome looked away with pain in her eyes as she saw Sesshoumaru's torn body lying on the ground. She looked at Inuyasha and screamed, "INUYASHA OSWARI!!!!!!!!!!" And with that, Inuyasha plummeted to the ground.

Rin shook Sesshoumaru, but he would not move. Jaken ran over and grabbed the girl, trying to comfort her. Sesshoumaru opened his eyes slowly and mumbled," Rin, do not cry. Go with Jaken to my castle and don't come back. Jaken, take care of Rin for me." Sesshoumaru closed his eyes. His body felt like it was on fire from the fever he was getting. He clenched his teeth. It was really getting ugly. Then he was back in the past.
