Silent Angel by Beautiful Silent Death
Silent Angel
Silent Angel
A.N. This is my new story. Yes, don't worry. I am going to finish In Under Deep. I just have finally found time to write. This was going to be an original story. Only to be posted on AFF.net, but I thought it would be a great Sess/Kag fic. No, there wont be all the Inu Characters in this fic. Most likely very few. I wanted to work with original characters. Just give these guys a chance. I think you will like it. Also, I wont be putting in Sess right away. This story mainly revolves around Kagome.
Disclaimer: NO, I don't own them and I don't make any damn money! I just sell and collect My Little Ponies. I also customize some too! Yes, I am a little kid trapped in a woman's body.
It's early morning, only three a.m., the night sky still full of stars. A large, gray building sat at the end of a quiet street. It didn't look like much, just a plain office building that held three floors, regular trimmed hedge, and a parking lot holding up to fifty cars. The first two floors, mainly offices, and the last one being a laboratory. This building, known as ICORP, only had a few lights on, making it look unimportant and boring. Not really drawing any attention to its self.
There was something important about this building, though. It harbored two underground floors unknown of. The two floors being laboratories of there own. The lab was not anymore exciting than the top floor. It's just as boring and gray as the rest of the building. But these two underground floors were different than all of the rest. They were special. It is a secret base of an organization that worked for themselves, and this morning is their hour of greatest achievement.
A special little girl is born.
"Doctor, were her vitals stable?" A man asked, as he looked down at the small infant in his arms. He was slim and tall, about six feet. He had shoulder length black hair that was messy and unkept because of extensive hours of work and stress. He wore small wire rimmed glasses that was pushed up to the high bridge of his nose. The small baby girl, contently wrapped up in a fuzzy pink blanket, stood out amongst the white and gray walls.
"Yes, Professor Williams. All vitals are stable and strong. She has a very strong heart beat for a newborn infant." Marveled the doctor.
The old, short, stubby man was writing on a chart labeled 'Silent Angel'. "I cant get over how alert she is as well. The little babe does have a strange mark on her back, though. In the upper left side of her shoulder."
The old doctor gently pushed the blanket aside, so that he could show the man holding the baby, the birthmark. It was a strange shape; almost black in color, helping it to stand out against her pale skin. The dark birthmark was the shape of a two inch long thick strip. It ran from her outer shoulder to the middle of her back, resembling a lone tiger strip.
"That is....interesting. Have it tested in a few days. She was just born. Its not good to start testing on her right now, even if she has strong vitals." Professor Robert Williams remarked.
"Vitals stronger than any newborn." Reminds the old doctor.
Professor Williams covered the baby back up and cradled her in his arms. He smiled down at the little girl.
"Still, I don't want her bothered right now. Let her rest." He stuck his finger out in front of her. A soft 'Coo' was heard as tiny clawed hand came up to grasp his finger.
"She is beautiful." the professor marveled.
"That she is." Agreed the doctor.
The doctor walked back to a desk that held a computer. He started typing what was written down on his chart. He stopped as he got to a certain part.
"The Carrier didn't make it, I am afraid," he remarked, "She died of hemorrhaging. The woman had multiple lacerations in her uterus."
The professor looked up from his admiring and locked the old doctor with his strong gaze, his face blank of any emotion. "That is of no concern to me. She was only that, a Carrier."
"Do you want us to cremate her body, Sir?" He questioned with a gray raised eyebrow.
"Yes, I want no evidence of her existence." With that said, the professor turned and walked out the door that led to a gray hallway.
He walked down the hallway, passing a few white doors. He stopped before one that was labeled 'Professor Williams' and entered it. Walking inside, the professor stopped by his desk and gently placed the pink bundle down in a white bassinette.
"You will be the daughter I never had." He looked at her with love and gently covered her up better with the pink blanket.
The little baby girl yawned and got ready to sleep. She looked at the tall man with bright blue eyes, still to new to know what she is, or what she was made for. She is an illegal experiment. A human clone. Not just any human clone, but one that was enhanced. She would have a destiny like no other. She is project 'Silent Angle". A deadly experiment that would far pass any human in existence. With one last large yawn, she went to sleep.
The professor looked at her and allowed a gentle smile to cross his lips. Yes, this could be the greatest of his achievements. All of the other ones had failed and died before birth, with the exception of one. But this one, she was defiantly going to be special. Her passage in life as a killer already in affect.
"My little one." He said softly as he stroked her cheek gently with the back of one large finger. "I will call you...Kagome. Yes, that will be a perfect name for you."
He walked around to the large leather chair sitting behind his dark oak desk and positioned himself comfortably in the cushy seat. He was tired and wanted nothing more than to rest. He had gone twenty-four hours without sleep. Its nothing new to him, though. Professor Williams was used to going long periods of time without any sleep.
He heard a soft knock at his door. Looking up, he noticed a woman of average height looking at him. She had short blond hair and was slim built. She walked up to his desk, her knee length gray skirt and white long sleeved shirt moving with her body. The woman moved her green eyes over to the bassinette and allowed a small smile to curve her full red lips.
"She is very pretty." She said in a low tone, as to not wake the sleeping babe.
"Yes, she is." Replied the Professor.
"Have you named her yet?" She inquired as she sat down in the simple brown chair that was resting in front of his desk.
"Yes, I have named her Kagome." He replied.
"A lovely name." The woman moved her head, regarding him with a small tilt.
"Are you going to be caring for her?" Was her simple question.
"Indeed, I will be her father."
"Will she not have a mother?"
The Professor looked at the woman square in the eyes. His dark brown gaze never wavering. This always made the other Professor uneasy when he did this. The man always had such a strong and commanding look to him. One would think that he enjoyed the power that he held in just a look alone. She was perhaps right.
"She has all that she will ever need with me, Tina." Williams dryly remarked.
The woman drew her smile to a slight frown. Professor Tina Somers hated it when someone made any silent issue that she was not needed.
"I think she needs a woman's touch, Robert. It is not good for her to only have a father figure." She shot back with a small amount of venom in her voice.
"Kagome will have a "Woman's Touch,' but it will not be you. I don't need her being a selfish bitch."
Professor Somers bristled at this remark. "You are a monster when you want to be, Robert. I hope she never picks up on that callus attitude that you have." she sneered.
A low chuckle filled the room, as a sadistic smile appeared on the man's face.
"You have no need to worry about such things, Tina. She will be perfect. I have insured her of this." Robert turned to look at the sleeping baby. "She has more than just super human abilities. Kagome has intelligence that most would dream of acquiring."
Tina looked one more time at the small bundle and raised herself from the chair.
"We will see." She said.
Professor Somers walked away from the desk and proceeded to the door. She opened it and looked back one last time at Professor Williams. "She will need all the help she can get, being a freak of nature. Be sure you provide her of it."
With that said the blonde woman walked out the door and quietly closed it behind her.
"Oh, Kagome will be much more than just that." Robert said to the closed door. "So much more."
Robert leaned back in his chair and rested his hands behind his messy haired head. He closed his eyes, allowing himself a few moments of sleep. After all, newborns are a lot of work. He would need all the sleep he could get.
