Chapter one

He watched her from afar.

Ever since he saw her at his father's grave he wanted her. He could not get her out of his mind. She was very pretty. From her silky raven hair, to her deep blue eyes. She was like a tenshi. Her beauty could make any male need a bucket of water dumped over them.

Tonight he would have her, he would kidnap her and take her away from his ignorant dumb half brother and make her his. He planned to have her give herself to him willingly, that is, if he could control himself. She was a very tempting beauty. Soon, VERY soon, he would have her in his arms and no one could take her away from him.

"Inuyasha! We're near a stream, now could you let us rest?" Kagome asked. They had been traveling very fast on a hot summer day and every one was tired. Well, that is but a certain annoyed hanyou.

"Feh! Lazy ningens! We have to keep moving. You said the shard was near, right Kagome? Then we have to move if we're going to get it today."

"Inuyasha you need to let us rest." Miroku interrupted, " We can't fight for it if we're all tired. We all need to be ready to fight not just you. If that's not a good reason then how about this, as our 'leader' you need to be concerned about everyone in your group not just you."

"Fine! You guys can take a break but I'll have you know, your all a bunch of weaklings. I could have gotten rhe shard by now if it weren't for you guys."

"Inuyasha" Kagome said with a sweet voice that betrayed nothing about the anger she was feeling at the moment.

"What?"

"SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SSIITT!!!!"

"We all knew that was coming." a satisfied sounding Sango said "We all just wish it would have come sooner."

A quiet giggle could be heard in the background from Shippo "I love when she does that."

"O.K everyone. Now that loud mouth here has been silenced, we can all enjoy a nice, quiet break."

A lone figure watched the scene the only emotion that could be found from him was a hint of amusement in his golden eyes. How he wished he could do that to his troublesome half brother. He had been watching the group all day planning the time he would attack and take what he now considered his. There would be no coming back empty handed today.

"AAHH!" a tired Kagome exclaimed, "Now that we got that shard we can relax. Who wants dinner?"

"Me, me!" Shippo said excitedly

"That sounds good to everyone I think." Miroku stated.

Just as Kagome started to set down her pack and get out the ramen they all felt a strong youki nearby and everyone tensed and got ready to see whom it was. To their surprise it was Sesshomaru.

"Hello 'little brother'. Are you surprised to see me?" Sesshomaru asked, with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Feh! What are you doing here Sesshomaru?" an annoyed, and now fully recovered hanyou from the sits he had just received, Inuyasha asked.

"Maybe I should be asking YOU that question 'little brother' since it is your group hat has crossed into MY lands. I think instead of fighting you for Testiga (sp?) I will demand a trivial tax of sorts."

"What kind of tax is it? Wait a minute, why am I asking you what kind tax it is? I don't owe you anything."

" On the contrary 'little brother'," while Sesshomaru spoke he formed his poison whip, " You owe me a lot and I shall take my tax now."

With that, Sesshomaru used his speed and hit Inuyasha at the base of his neck so that he fell unconscious. Sesshomaru then picked up Kagome, who immediately started kicking and screaming against him, then turned to the group and said in his usual stoic façade "If any of you even attempt to follow, this Sesshomaru shall eliminate you." With that he left with his most precious prize, a kicking and screaming Kagome.
