Dinner

No one believes in God anymore. And that's a shame.

I remember this one time, I was having this boring birthday dinner with my friend Sango at this little French restaurant. She'd finally gotten around to asking me, "So, how's your love life?" when...I saw him.

There he was, all alone, sitting just two tables away. My personal man.

It was as if God had come up to me and said, "Kagome...I'm making this one just for you. How do you want him? Broad shoulders? No problem. Silky silver hair? Piece of cake. Gold eyes? That's tough--but for you...okay."

I don't know how long I'd been staring at him when all of the sudden, he turns his head, and our eyes meet. And at that exact same moment that our eyes made contact, this waiter nearby drops his tray with this loud crash, and I realized...that that was a sign. That he WAS my personal man. The he was God's birthday present...to me.

I waited till Sango went to the Ladies' Room and I simply walked over, and sat down across from him. And I looked into his gold eyes. And I said, "Hi. You don't know me, but when our eyes met and that waiter dropped the tray, I knew God wanted us to meet."

He stared at me for a minute and said, "I'm waiting for my wife."

But he wasn't wearing a ring, so I said, "Please, don't try to fight this. This is supposed to happen. God wants us to meet."

But he just said, "Look, I don't know who you are, but I want you to leave."

And I started YELLING. I said, "You don't understand. This is my birthday, and you are my present. You were made for me. Why else would you have gold eyes and silver hair?"

But then the waiter came over, and Sango came back...

And I tried to explain it to them, but no one wants to hear about God in restaurants.

And they dragged me out.

I hate atheists.

So, how did you like it? I know it was short, but I tried!! ^.~ I got this idea from a skit that I read acting classes. Anyway plz review and tell me if you liked it!
