One Moment in Time by CiraArana
Chapter One
A/N: I wrote this after reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Weird thing, inspiration.
One Moment in Time
Black against white as she lay there,
White silken cushions and raven-black hair.
Warm gold on cold silver as she sleeps
Her beautiful body wrapped in my sheets.
She sleeps, she dreams,
I watch, I yearn,
I don't know why,
And yet it seems,
I begin to learn,
As time passes by.
Fine like a feather's brush her dark, winged brows,
Soot-black lashes are casting soft shadows,
On the smooth, brown velvet of her cheeks,
And hide her eyes from me as she sleeps.
She sleeps, she dreams,
I watch, I yearn,
I don't know why,
And yet it seems,
I begin to learn,
As time passes by.
Soft gentle curves in a river of gold,
A beauty I again long to hold.
Long slender limbs and feminine grace,
Sleep makes her a child, takes woman's trace.
She sleeps, she dreams,
I watch, I yearn,
I don't know why,
And yet it seems,
I begin to learn,
As time passes by.
I ruthlessly tricked her, lured her here,
And yet she never showed signs of fear.
She was alluring warmth, sensitive skin,
And fire I long to get lost within.
And now she sleeps,
I watch and yearn,
And wonder why,
What secrets she keeps,
And what I might learn,
As time passes by.
She opens her eyes and her gaze meets mine,
Everything's still in this moment in time.
Her eyes are like jewels, yet no precious stone,
Ever as bright as the love in hers shone.
She takes my hand,
Thoughts stop to spin,
As fingers entwine.
I love her and
That's what I learn in,
This moment in time.
