Ten years time

Summary: who is the cold & emotionless one?? Could it be sesshoumaru?? Or is it someone else???

A/N: this is my first time posting a story so forgive me if the story isn't as good as you think it is..^_^ Maybe the characters do not acted like they are supposed to act but in my story, they acted that way..^_^ no offence....

Chapter 1 ( Ten years' time )

There was a family in a village that is located in the center of the four lands. In the family lived a girl named Kagome. She was five years old while her little brother, Souta, is three. The family lived a very happy life until the son of the Northern lands (Koga) and his packs of wolves destroyed their village. Kagome's parents wanted the children to be safe so they hid them in a wine cellar, which no one will know where they have been hidden. Numerous of children have also been hidden in the cellar and it was only till the next morning did they slowly made their way out of the cellar to search for their parents.

Some managed to find their parents' alive while some found theirs dead. All bodies except Kagome and Souta's parents were found. The surviving villagers said that the Northern Prince has taken their parents away, maybe to his castle as salves. Kagome and Souta were very heartbroken upon hearing the news. From that moment, they began their journey of finding their parents.

"Kagome, will we be able to find our parents?" asked Souta.

"We will find them no matter what happens" replied Kagome with determination.

Weeks later, Souta contracted an illness while traveling. Kagome quickly brought him to a nearby village but it was too late. Souta's illness was far too serious to be healed. Eventually, he died. Kagome buried his body near to the village. With one last sight of her brother's grave, Kagome walked away. With no one to depend on and care for....Kagome became a cold and emotionless person. She helped the villagers by killing demons and the 'baddies'. She was soon widely known as The Assassin. She always wore a cloak around herself and rarely talks to anyone. Ten years have passed; Kagome has grown into a mature and beautiful woman. Her well-known reputation to the villages was soon known by the four lords of the lands.

Kagome was doing her usual killing of the demons when she sensed an aura. She went towards it and found a young fox demon. Looking at the fox demon, she thought that she has seen her young dead brother. Feeling curious, Kagome asked the fox demon (Shippo) what had happened. Shippo told her about how his parents were killed and that he was now homeless. Feeling pity for him, Kagome adopted him as her son and they were soon traveling together. He was given a pendant for protection in case of danger and when Kagome was not there to save him. After trying to find Koga for years, Kagome finally met him. Her first question was...

"Where is the couple whom you had taken ten years ago?" Kagome asked coldly.

"HUH?? What are you talking about? And who the hell are you!?" Koga -- She looks creepy.... better escaped first.

" Ja ne (bye) " Koga quickly said and ran off at lightning speed.

Kagome was not satisfied that he did not give her an answer. She decided to find him at the Western Castle as that is the place whereby all the lords will be going to meet at this time of the year. Together with Shippo, they went to the Western Castle with thoughts of how to get in and to take their revenge.

~~~ At the western castle ~~~

The Lord of the Northern Lands ( Kaji ) said

" The Assassin is becoming a big problem soon. We must deal with him quickly."

The Lord of the Eastern Lands ( Manten ) added

" Yes, the Assassin is known for his cruelness but he has done nothing to us at all."

The Lord of the Western Lands ( Inutaishou ) interrupted

" True, The Assassin has done nothing to us but he is becoming more and more of a problem."

Little did they know that The Assassin was actually a female and the discussion of what to do continued until Jaken a loyal servant came barging in the meeting and exclaimed

" My Lords, we have intruders! One of them is a fox demon and the other cannot be identified. What do we do, my lords!?!?"

The lords went to the gate to investigate what had happened. Upon reaching the gate, they saw that all the guards had been defeated. Inutaishou kindly asked

"What is your name and what business do you have here??"

"I am known as The Assassin and my business is none of your concern. I am only here for the Young Lord of the Northern Lands." Kagome coldly said. The tone of her voice sent shivers to the fours lords' spine but it also surprised them that the Assassin was actually a female instead of a male.

Inutaishou was the first to break the silence and said "What business do you have with Koga is also our business. Why don't you come in and slowly talk over matters. Why don't you take off your cloak as well?" Kagome was invited into the castle and was brought to the study. However Kagome did not took off her cloak. The Lords throw questions at her but Kagome did not answered any of them. She was being very quiet. A knock at the door brings everyone's attention towards it. The sons of the four lords entered and took their seats. Koga noticed the guest and shouted out loud

"Why the hell are you here!!"

Kaji explained the situation to Koga and Koga knew that he had made a mistake the previous time he met her. Kagome coldly asked Koga to relate what had happened ten years ago and asked about the couple but he was totally confused and did not know what she was talking about.

Losing her patience, Kagome sternly asked the same question again, "Where is the couple that you had taken ten years ago?"

Being more curious, the fours lords asked Kouga to explain everything about the matter ten years ago but Kouga still doesn't seem to recall anything thus the 'job' was given to Kagome.

Kagome clearly stated....

"Since you have forgotten everything then I will make sure you will recall every single detail.... Ten years ago, you brought your pack of wolfs to attack a village that is located in the center of the four lands. You let your wolfs feed on the living and have only spared a few lives. You made many children parentless and homeless as well. You even took away a couple. And now, I' m asking you where is the taken couple?"

After hearing her story, Kouga had flashes of what happened ten years ago. He then told her what he has done to the couple.

Ten years ago after taking the couple away from the village, he made them his slaves and tortured them for days. Seeing his pack of wolves being so hungry, he let them (wolves) eat the couple as dinner. Their last words were that their children would come after him as he had made many innocent lives suffered. Kagome tried her utmost to suppress her sadness and was successful. Her sadness was soon changed into anger. Kagome narrowed her eyes and stood up. She gracefully walked to him and put her hands on his neck...strangling him....
