Chapter One: Fight

"Kaze no Kizu!" A voice screamed as a red figure threw a large fang on the ground. Blades of yellow light shot from the blade to the screaming group of youkai, disintegrating them on contact. The figure straightened and muttered a quick 'Keh',

"InuYasha!" A girl screamed in terror.

A silver haired hanyou turned to see his friend and secret love being attacked by a large Ogre. "Kagome!" InuYasha screamed before leaping off the ground to her.

Kagome moaned as the large beast squeezed the hand that trapped her more tightly. Her vision blurring, she felt her bones cracking underneath the titanic strength. Hearing InuYasha call her name made her heart sing with hope.

"InuYasha!" She called again as she gasped for air as the chuckling creature applied more pressure to her small body.

A pair of chocolate eyes narrowed angrily as a warrior turned her large cat, Kirara, to the thing hurting her sister figure.

"Hirikatsou!" Sango the Taijya yelled fiercely as she threw her large boomerang weapon at the large creature.

Groaning loudly as it sliced the air aimlessly; the large weapon hurtled towards the stunned monster. Kagome watched in relief as the weapon sliced threw the hand holding her captive. Feeling the hand let her loose, Kagome screamed as she began to fall to the earth. The miko felt her breath leave her as a pair of strong, comforting arms wrapped around her securely.

Looking up, the girl smiled softly as a golden eyed InuYasha looked down at her with anger and concern. Floating to the ground, he steadied her on her feet.

"Daijibou?" He asked worriedly.

Kagome nodded and smiled. "Hai."

Nodding, Kagome watched the hanyou tense. InuYasha blinked then dove to the left with the surprised girl in his arms as the ogre threw his club at them. Turning as he pushed Kagome behind him, InuYasha growled. "Keh! You just don't know when to give up do you teme?" He yelled to the dumb beast.

A jingle of golden rings against metal rang through the battle. "Let me assist you InuYasha!" Miroku the monk declared as he unwrapped his Kazanna.

Raising his palm to the sky, he allowed the void in his hand to open. Everyone watched as he sucked in the groaning monoke. With one last groan of fear and anger, the minimized beast and remaining youkai disappeared into the black tunnel.

Silence entered the clearing as only a few leaves rustled.

InuYasha turned to the blinking Kagome. "What the Hell were you doing? How did you get caught by that?!" He demanded hottily.

Kagome blinked in shock then became angry. "I was shooting arrows when he surprised me! He came out of no where!" She yelled.

InuYasha twitched at that. His large eyes narrowing angrily as he became more annoyed, he screamed shrilly at the red-faced girl, "How could you have missed that big thing coming at you?!"

Sango and Miroku sighed as they watched the couple quarreled once again. Shippou came from the bushes he had been hiding in and sighed in exasperation. Kirara mewled in agreement with the kit.

"InuYasha, Osuwari!" The future miko growled.

InuYasha yelped in surprise as his body met the hard Earth. Miroku stepped forward, blocking the growling InuYasha and glaring Kagome from each other. "Onegai, Kagome-sama. We do not have time for this. Naraku just attacked us for the shikon kakera. We should continue our journey and find a village to shelter us tonight," The houshi stated softly

Kagome sighed and nodded. "Hai, you're right Miroku." She then cast another glare at the growling half-breed.

Angry, worried, scared and downright tired, the hanyou was a mix of emotions and about to blow. Feeling the spell lift, InuYasha growled as he stood up, his golden eyes narrowing on the grim-face houshi. "Since when do -you- tell us where to go?"

Miroku raised a brow in question. "I was merely stating the obvious, InuYasha. We do not have time for your concern of Kagome and Kagome's annoyance with you. Naraku is watching us for we have the last shikon kakera. If you two were so absorbed with fighting one another, you would not notice another attacking youkai."

Sango stepped forward and nodded in agreement with her fiancée. "Kagome-chan, you can ride with me and Kirara. Miroku will stay with InuYasha." The Taijya glanced at the muttering hanyou.

Kagome just nodded stiffly and walked to the meowing neko angrily. Miroku watched the young girl, sighing. "Why must you be so brash with her, InuYasha? She cares for as you do her. Why could you not show your concern more gently?" He asked sternly.

InuYasha just stiffened and fixated his hard, golden eyes on Miroku. "Screw off Miroku! It's none of your business!" He muttered.

Miroku shrugged his shoulders at the fuming boy. "I was only trying to help you, InuYasha. We do not need you too push Kagome back to her own time just because you can not try and allow her to see your obvious feelings for her." The bouzo stated firmly before walking to the already traveling girls.

InuYasha turned and looked at the reed-straight back of Kagome. He smelt her anger, sadness and hurt. His black brows pulling together in a frown, he walked behind the group quietly.

Next Chapter:

"What do you want, here, Sesshomaru?" InuYasha demanded as he held Tetsaiga tightly in his clenched claws.

The silent youkai raised a silver brow at the hanyou. "This Sesshomaru will be assisting you and you're...." He looked at the ningen group with cold disgust, "Tachi with ridding of Naraku." He stated coolly.

InuYasha blinked then snarled. "Fuck no! Go and get yourself killed! You are no damn way joining us against Naraku!"

Kagome watched the two brothers. Sesshomaru wished to join their group? 'He is very strong. He would make a very good ally.'

These thoughts echoed through the rest of the Inu Tachi's mind.

"Get the fuck out of here before I slice you to graffiti!" InuYasha threatened as he glared at the glaring Sesshomaru.

"Hold on InuYasha!" Kagome called.

InuYasha turned to the ningen miko as did Sesshomaru. Blinking at the sudden attention as everyone stared at her, Kagome coughed. Looking at InuYasha and Sesshomaru she quickly said, "Maybe we should let him join, InuYasha."

A stream of loud curses shocked the nearby animals, causing them to flee to their nests in fear.
