CHAPTER ONE : Tinder

She covered him up with his favorite blanket. She knew her son was too old for it, but it gave him comfort when his so called bastard of a father wasn't around. He was never around lately. That was what was to be accepted, no? InuYasha was an idiot, but he did treat Shippo well. She really needed to get rid of him. Shaking her head, she dropped her weak human concealments. She didn't want to hide her heritage. Dangit she was mighty proud to be a full fledged royal silver fox demon. But she didn't want her son to know his full heritage. Well, not just yet. Too bad she didn't know it was about to unravel. This well kept secret of hers.

Shippo was her dear, sweet son. He was the only reason she wasn't insane or like her "boyfriend." Shippo was a fox and dog demon. His father was a dog demon, while his mother was a fox. He appeared, though, to be a young fox demon. It wasn't like she was ashamed of his father's heritage, but to not arise too much suspicion. It was all InuYasha's fault anyway. But she missed her. Her daughter and Shippo's twin sister, Rin. Oh Rin was her darling daughter, but he took to her like no father would. Too bad it didn't work between them.

She always dreamt of a happy family. Rin, her husband, Shippo, and herself all in their own home, living their lives happily, but that wasn't what was to happen. Maybe if she never tried to comfort Inu. Maybe if she had never spoken to him, maybe they'd be together again but as you can see, they aren't.

She knew she had to dump Inu before he found out about Shippo. Oh yes, he thought he was the father. Too bad he didn't think that they never had sex. Everyone but him knew he wasn't the father and Kagome never lied. She told them he wasn't but that didn't matter for the time being.

"Shippo, sleep well my dear, sweet boy. I love you more than the world," Kagome said to her son. Standing up and walking to the large window of the spacious house that she owned with her own money. Yes, she was well made because of her job, but that didn't matter when her son didn't have a father figure. That was all she really, really cared about. She spoiled him, but that was to be expected, ne? Sorry back to the story line.

Anyway, while walking to the window, she put away some stuff. He did have a hand to mess up a room but she didn't care. After all, he got that from her. He could have never gotten it from his father. His father was spic and span. Kagome wasn't a slob, but she was clumsy.

Staring out of her window, she sighed softly as the sun shone on her petite figure. She was well curved but still has a slender waist. Her white tank top clinging to her form, while the black running jacket clad her slender arms. The black running pants with a silver stripe were on, covering her legs. The nice white and black Nikes on her feet. She watched something very peculiar that could change her whole world. New neighbors and not just any. There was someone from her past.......
