Every Dog Has His Day

A Miko by the name of Aiko had been called away to another village for they were in desperate need of the Miko's services. It would appear that the village was being attacked almost weekly by a wild bear demon. The Miko was hesitant at first, not because she was a week Miko, no she was quite the opposite actually but because she feared for her brother Tadashi. Not wanting to leave him alone even if it were only for a few short days. But the boy pleaded with his older sister guaranteeing that he would be fine, and that she should go and help the nearby village, so she complied.

One week later when Aiko returned home she called out to her little brother a bright smile on her face because she would get to se her smiling little brothers face.

" Tadashi! Come on you're sis is here, wont you give her a nice welcome?" she giggled and ran to her small hut.

" Tadashi? Where are you?" she called again trying to hide the mirth in her voice thinking her brother was hiding from, he did so like to play hide and scare even though he was already 14 years of age. No answer came so she walked into his room...it was empty. Thinking he was in the village playing with the local kids she headed out and further into the village.

When she came upon the market it grew silent and everyone watched as the Miko passed through the market very aware of the eerie silence. A devilishly handsome man came up to her wearing a purple Hoari and black hakama. Black wavy hair fell to his waist; his head was bowed low wavy locks covering his eyes.

" Naraku why is everyone acting so strange? And where's Tadashi?" The Miko fought the feeling of her stomach churning... something wasn't right .

" Aiko I am so sorry, I couldn't stop him" came Naraku's disturbingly strained voice, although on the inside he was laughing like a maniac.

" Couldn't stop who? Is it a demon?" the Miko questioned her bow already out.

" Its Tadashi he's been killed" tension was thick in the air; no one dared anger the powerful priestess.

Black straight locks shielded the Miko's green eyes, her time-honored Miko garb rustled in the wind

" Who?" her voice cold as a blizzard storm. This just could not be, Aiko's sweet little brother murdered, killed? Rage filled her heart and tears threatened to spill

" The Lord of the West, Sesshomaru" I tried to stop him but he just killed him" Naraku pulled Aiko into his arms, feigning worry. Her body was rigid and stiff in Naraku's embrace. She would not let that basturd get away, at that moment every coherent thought in her mind flew out the window and was replaced only by pure hatred. I pity you Sesshomaru because when I find you I shall show no mercy just as you showed none to my brother .

"Rin where do you think you going Lord Sesshomaru has no time to deal with you human filth" Jaken lectured the little girl in front of him she ignored him and ran past the annoying the green freak and his bulbous yellow glare.

" Sesshomaru-sama! Look what Rin drew?" squealed a little girl dressed in a lavender Yukata her caretaker Jaken a green toad following panting behind her. Throwing the door open without effort she ran to her father figure. He turned slowly a ghost of a smile appearing as the cute little raven-haired girl latched on to his leg. Patting the girl on the head, he bent and gingerly took the picture out of the child's hands just as his retainer Jaken made his entrance gasping and panting for air, he fell to the ground begging for forgiveness. The Lord Of the West merely rolled his eyes and dismissed the toad. Turning his attention back to the picture Rin drew he let a small smile grace his lips. Their on the little white piece of paper was a picture of a little girl with black hair and a purple Yukata, to her right a man with silver hair and clothing probably because white wouldn't show above him it said Sesshomaru-sama in Kanji writing.

" Very good Rin" was his reply; she ignored his usual cold tone and beamed up proudly at him. Returning to his desk he sat down and stated his work. After several minutes of staring at some documents about who knows what the lord looked back up to see his ward in the exact same spot, he smelt her nervousness.

" Yes Rin?" questioned the silent Tai Yokai.

Shifting nervously she decide that she'd just say it all in one swift motion and hoped that maybe he'd be to confused and just say yes " Rinreallywantedtogotoseethespecialreallyprettymoonflowersininiuyasha-samasforestthisafternoonpleapleaseprettypleaseSesshoumaru-sama?"

Sesshomaru blinked, trying to sort through what this little girl just said something about flowers, the moon and pretty please? Screw it I'll just wing it

" Yes" came his confident answer, Rin had a huge smile on her face now.

" YAY! Sesshomaru-sama will take me to see the moon flowers in Inuyasha-sama's forest" she screamed in delight and ran out the lord's office before he could object. Sesshomaru sat at the overly piled desk not moving an inch. He scowled she tricked him, clever thing she is, mentally sighing he turned his attention back to the work at hand.

Every dog has his day...perhaps fate mistook him for a cat?

The sun was gone and the lord and his ward sat in a bunch of useless vines waiting for something anything to happen. The lord was impatient and the child was becoming annoyed. At least twenty feet a way the lord's retainer sat plopped up against a tree snoring quite loudly, he resisted the urge to step on the toad for good measure if he had to sit her and watch some listless vines why shouldn't he?

" Come on Sesshomaru-sama just a little bit longer" she, half hissed half whined

" You said that hours ago Rin" right when he said that the something happened . One by one little specks of white appeared on the whines glancing around every time before settling his vision back on to its prior spot. More specks appeared every time before it burst out into a full bloom, he had to admit he was mildly impressed.... mildly

Rin sighed happily turning to the figure beside her she questioned

" Wasn't it pretty Sesshomaru-sama?"

" I suppose Rin, shall we leave now"

Rin suppressed the urge to roll her eyes at her father figures impatience.

" Hai I'm ready," she said smiling running towards Jaken to wake the snoring toad up.

He watched Rin run up to him the stupid toad along with him. The servant groveled on the floor begging forgiveness for falling asleep " Jaken walk home" that seems like punishment enough, maybe if I'm lucky he'll get mauled by a bear Yokai he fought the urge to smirk at the toads obvious dismay. Gathering his Ki a small cloud stated to form at the bottom of his feet, he waited for Rin to come but her attention was on something behind him, turning to see what the little girl saw he prayed not anymore flowers god. To his surprise a woman clothed in Miko garbs came to view his golden eyes met hers. Green eyes almost completely over thrown in silver collided with his icy golden irises. This woman certainly had guts, which just might have been splayed across the ground if he wasn't just to dam tired to want to start conflict. That seemed to be the complete opposite of Aiko's plan. Behind her stood a hanyou? Grinning cunningly, it would have been strange had it not been for the fact that his idiot hanyou half brother fancy's a Miko himself. The stood in a staring match icy golden irises clashed against angry now completely silver eyes before the Miko finally spoke up.

" Lord Sesshomaru kill anyone in particular today?" said the Miko spitting his name like toxin; the foolish hanyou beside him snickered. Sesshomaru raised a delicate silver brow, did this human and abomination dare insult this Sesshomaru the lord anger spiked at the lack of respect.

" Do you dare speak to this Sesshomaru as you do? Whom do you think you are pathetic mortal?" icicles hung from the words. Jaken had the good sense to leave dragging a complaining Rin behind him, apparently not to far they hid in a bush the lord would have to punish the dim witted toad for that.

" I will be the one to avenge my brothers death" hissed the Miko, her little zaps of spark radiated around her making her look quite intimidating not to the stubborn dog prince though.

" You are a fool " he snarled ready to end the human child's life and head back home to catch what little sleep he could.

" Well see" she said menacingly the blue sparks were now raging blinding the Lord, trying to squint to see what the infernal human was doing he quickly moved away trying to see what little he could. A blue startling dark blue light headed directly at him his eyes widened at the same time as the Miko's silver irises. How could she not feel it before, Naraku was hanyou! That despicable basturd tricked her and now someone else would pay for her blunder. She couldn't stop the attack it was too powerful, it was consuming her and everything! The blue light engulfed her and she gave a startled cry. The light hit Sesshomaru at full speed swallowing his body whole and pain rang though out his body the lord howled the pain becoming unbearable, the screams of Jaken and another unknown voice muttering curses at the human wench that dared to attack his person.

Everything slowed down as the navy light dulled and faded away the sight before Aiko causing her to give a startled eep . There where the powerful TaiYoukai once stood was a very large white fluffy dog . If she hadn't signed a death contract when she first attacked the TaiYoukai she did now. But it was the only way to not kill the demon! She had a liable excuse. A loud barking coming from both her left and right turning, two more dogs ran past her towards Sesshomaru a black dog with a weird black cap accompanied by a girl in a lavender Yukata and another dog coming from her right side who looked much like the lord except this one did not have any symbols to indicate he comes from a royal blood line.

" Sesshomaru you look so kawaii!!!" squealed the little girl who started to pet his tail

tail? Since when do I have a tail? looking down the dog demon looked down do find paws! Eyes widening in recognition he looked towards the two other dogs that were inspecting themselves. Sniffing he identified one as Inuyasha? And the other Jaken they were both sniffing each other checking to see if they were indeed dogs. Jaken's nose strayed a little too close to Inuyasha's umm rear he yelped in surprise

" get your fucking nose away from ass! " Inuyasha's voice boomed inside everyone's heads in the clearing causing them all to jump startled. Rin looked at the three dogs wide eyed wondering what the pretty lady did to her Sesshomaru-sama... he seemed really mad but cute all the same.

This was clearly alarming to Sesshomaru, what did this human do to us! The lord intended on getting to the bottom of this. There was no way he could stay like this! He was the lord of the western lands he had lands to rule.... How was he supposed to rule it in dog form?

" human what did you do to this Sesshomaru! " his voice sounded desperate, although he did transform into his full demon form from his humanoid form he never really need to speak when it, so his control on his telepathic powers were as new to him as it was too Inuyasha and Jaken. Aiko was frozen in place, what was she to do? She had an angry former TaiYoukai a hanyou and some toad demon being accompanied with a human child staring her down. Lord Sesshomaru and the other white dog's golden eyes were merly unerving but the black dogs odd swamp colored eyes gave her the Goosebumps.

Inuyasha snarled at the unresponsive Miko getting ready to tear the Miko a new one. Lunging forward on all fours toward the idiot human his patience was at the end of its rope but then again but then again isn't it always?

Sesshomaru ran at full speed and blocked the Miko from his idiot half brother " If you kill her we'll never know how to reverse the spell" growled out annoyed. " listen to you brother lord Inuyasha" Jaken piped, forgetting about Aiko for a brief moment.

Aiko watched as the lords barked and growled in front of her and inside her mind as well apparently none of them knowing how to control their newfound telepathic powers. She seemed glued to that spot slightly swaying as she processed all the facts in such a short time. Overwhelmed by all this new information and still in a weekend state Aiko did something for the first time in her life she fainted.

" Kuso" the three demons thought in unison.
