Stitched Like A Star by Nightmares_Rain
The Nightmare
Kagome looked around the hut letting her eyes adjust to the darkness she looks to her friends; everyone lay comfortably asleep well everyone but Inuyasha who sat with his arms crossed in his normal half sleep. Kagome smiled at this normality and closed her eyes letting herself drift into an uneasy sleep.

Kagomes Dream
-------------------
I am sitting outside the hut under a near by tree watching the dull gray skies weep. I close my eyes and lay back listening to each drop of rain as it falls from the sky. Then I hear something else; footsteps upon opening my eyes there I see Inuyasha in the shadows of the woods he looked to me and slowly turned walking away. With it being in my nature I followed behind, hiding when he would turn and hoping he wouldn't sniff me out though I knew he must know I was there already for he started to moving quickly running and jumping. Curse his demon blood allowing him to move so quickly soon he was out of sight and I heard nothing but the rain. That's when the realization sank in, nothing, no birds and no crickets not animals, nothing at all. Even though I had lost Inuyahsa I kept moving through the woods it got darker and cooler. I become afraid. I stopped and sat on a rotting log hoping to be able to find my way back. Silence surrounded me silence and nothing else. I then heard the crying the screams startled I jump up and I move closer into the shadowed wood. I look for something to help me find the person who was crying and screaming; a dropped weapon, a broken stick, foot prints anything but still I found nothing. Then I thought if this person screamed like that and they are now sobbing maybe they were attacked. Pushing the thought away I clam my breathing and listen. After a moment of silence I hear a heart wrenching cry. A sob that grew louder and more intense with each cry something like I'd never heard before.. the sound of a life ending. I move deeper into the woods deeper until the trees are so thick over head I can no longer see the sunlight. Its dark and I'm tired.. but.. I hear the cries.. I move myself forward and I stop as I can hear the loud breathing.. and the voice.. So familiar yet I cannot place it those words that I remember so clearly the voice so clearly "You should know better to go out alone. After all you could be killed. You know well it could happen" I turn.. No one.. Look around.. nothing but trees.. Then a scream.. A loud scream if you heard it, it would be etched into your memory forever as it is in mine. I run to it.. on the ground.. marks.. all over.. and my friends.. Necks slit.. bodies withered and broken... I step closer and gag at the smell. I am in shock and I touch them I want to heal them atleast try.. but I'm numb.. it was like touching air.. I step back and turn away unable to look until I hear breathing and a small whimper escape Sango. Turning slowly I look to her and sitting above her is the body and face of Inuyasha. A grin upon face and empty eyes my first thought is to run to him and curl myself tightly against him but part of me knows he did this even though I don't want to believe it. I step back and turn beginning to run. I have gotten no more than ten feet when I cant run. There is something holding me back. I look down over my body and find a rope pulling me back and to the right. It isn't Inuyasha. It cant be. I still see him sitting there straight back. This is when things get blurry. like a thick red haze has formed all around me to the point I cannot see my own hands..

Kagome jerks up sending her blankets to down to her ankles. That's when she feels it "Nuuuuh" she whimpers at the sharp pain in her side. This wakes Inuyasha. "Kagome?" She whimpers again holding her side. "What's wrong?" Inuyasha moves slowly behind her and pulls her back so she is leaning against him. "My side.. it hurts.." Inuyasha reaches to her side and lifts her shirt slightly revealing a dark red rope-like mark that trailed around her waist but seemed to be worse on her right as if someone had been pulling. "Have you left tonight?" Inuyasha whispers. "N-no.." Kagome looked up at Inuyasha who seemed to be deep in thought 'That's strange.. what has she done? There is nothing in the hut that could make a mark like that..' He reaches into the first aid kit Kagome aways brings from her home. He digs through it grabbing bandages. He closes the fit and digs into the food bag grabbing a lemon. "Kagome. Come with me?" Inuyasha stands lifting her up cradling her and carries her outside not giving her a chance to answer. 'What is he doing?' Inuyasha stops at a small spring near their hut and sits down grabbing up vanilla flowers holding her on his lap. He lifts her shirt and looks at the red marks that now seem to have a green toxic look to them. He cuts the lemon with his claws and squeezes the juices onto her sides on the marks. He soaks the bandages in the spring and pulls them out laying them to the side until they dry slightly. "nnn..." Inuyasha looks to Kagome still in obvious pain and wraps the bandages tightly placing vanilla flowers along the inside of the bandages. Inuyasha stands pulling Kagome up with him. "Stand.." She whimpers "I can--" Inuyasha looks at her and holds her up. "Stand." Doing as she is told she stands as Inuyasha lets go and the pain slowly releases its grip on her. 'It doesn't hurt.. What did he do?'

Nearby sitting in the tree from Kagomes dream..

A slight grin shown along the pale figures face. 'He used lemon and vanilla. He listened to his mortal mother more then one would have thought. After all the running off and fights he got himself into ... who knew he listened to anyone.' The pale figure stood his silver hair blowing in the wind. He watched the half-demon and his companion walk back to the hut where they would sleep uneasily for the remaining night.
