Chapter 1: Good-Bye, My Love
Kagome ran. She ran as fast as she could. He was gaining on her. She was loosing the race.
HE was after her. She had no clue why.
Running.
That was her goal. She had to get away.. but how?
'There it is.' Her mind was screaming at her when she spotted the well. 'Just a little further.'
She never made it. He got her. He won. She lost. She knew she'd lose, but she'd given a good fight. She lied there as she took her last breath.
Kagome woke up. 'What was that all about?'
"Good-morning Kagome," Shippou greeted as he saw her awake from her slumber.
"Good-morning Shippou, how are you feeling?" Shippou had come down with the sniffles, nothing major, but Kagome wanted him to heal nonetheless.
"Better! I slept all night like you told me, and I feel all better!" Shippou gave Kagome a wide smile.
"That's great Shippou."
Kagome was a bit overwhelmed at the intensity of her nightmare

She was scratched, dirty, and tired. She was running from the man she loved. He loved her back, she was sure of this. Yet still, she ran from him.
The breeze hit her cuts and bruises like thorns, and the tree branches she ran through made nothing better. The night sky and creatures of the night seemed to be trapping her, keeping her further and further away from her destination.
Still, she ran on.
Seemingly from no-where, the earth broke open behind her, screaming for mercy. 'That will at least delay him a while' she thought.
She ran further and further into the cold night. Drip. She looked up to the midnight sky. Drip. Drip. 'Rain' she thought. Soon after, the rain started to pour threatening her sight.
Further and further she went into the cold, damp night.
Suddenly, Kagome heard something that stopped her heart.
"Kagome, wait.. I just want to talk."
It was a lie, this much she knew. It was InuYasha.. well, his body. The beast in him once again held control, and he was hungry. He was chasing after her not for her flesh, but for her soul.
Her soul, Kikyou's soul he wished she had back. Not InuYasha, but the beast. '
'Was there a difference' she often wondered.. she didn't have time to think about that.. he was gaining on her.
Kagome's vision was completely destroyed by all the rain, and every step she took threatened her life.
She was in a forest now, the ground soggy, and muddy. Somewhere along the way, Kagome had lost her left shoe, and the right was torn. She could barely run, the ground with which she ran bore sharp, sharp rocks.
Her feet, cut and torn was an obstacle even hard for her to overcome, yet... she ran on.
As she ran, her pace slowed. He was catching up as she grew more tiresome with each step she took.
"Kagome" she heard him scream.
'This is it' she thought. "It's over.. I've failed.'
Kagome collapsed to the ground as InuYasha caught up. What he saw scared him. The fear overpowered his true self, and he was brought back to normal.
InuYasha laid his claw over her throat, and his head rested on her chest.
He began screaming to the woman he'd loved. Kagome. She was gone.. well, she was still alive.. he could hear her heart beat.
He couldn't bear to see her like that. He looked at her face, and kissed her gently. He then got up and hurriedly unsheathed his Tetsusaiga and raised it over her head. He thrusted down as hard as he could.
That's when Kagome woke up.. sweat covering every inch of her body.

She was wondering what her dream had meant when she heard a voice.
"Kagome.."
Sango sat perplexed in front of her friend. She must have called her name near twenty times. "KAGOME!"
Kagome shot up, alert and ready. She relaxed as she saw it was only Sango.

"Gomen Sango-Chan, I was thinking about something." Sango eyed Kagome suspiciously.
"What did he do?"
Kagome was surprised by this question. "Who?"
Sango knew she was hiding something, and she wanted to find out what.
"Kagome, has Inuyasha done anything to you?" Sango was beginning to worry about her friend.
"No. Inuyasha has done nothing. I had a nightmare is all." Sango seemed interested.
"What happened?"
Kagome explained her dream to Sango. She too, was greatly bewildered, and worried.
"Kagome, what could this possibly mean?"
Kagome pondered this question. "Maybe, it was a vision. I hope with all my heart that isn't the case, but.. what if it was?"
"Maybe you should go home for a while, it might be safer."
Kagome looked at Sango. "No. I have a responsibility right here, and I have to stay until said is fulfilled."
"Okay, but if he does ANYTHING out of the ordinary.. you're leaving"
Kagome giggled. "InuYasha can come through the well too ya know.."
Sango picked up her Hiraikotsu, which had been lying on the ground beside her. "Not when I get through with him.."
Kagome and Sango walked in silence for the remainder of the day.
That's all I have for now but I'll update this chapter this weekend. I'll defiantly make it longer.. Please review and tell me what ya think so far!
