To me this is the final battle with Naraku that involves not just the gang but Sess and his army because Naraku has grown too strong for a mere handful of people to fight. I think Naraku wants to degrade Kag so completely that she will be tainted and not be able to purify the evil from the jewel. She's a more powerful miko now than in the beginning. More of a warrior. Also, she should be able to help heal herself almost like a youkai except not as fast. Since she was able to penetrate so far behind enemy lines and confront Naraku himself, Sess believes she may know something the others don't or at least gained some new knowledge about Naraku whether it be good or bad. Such as her purified dagger that should have rendered him to dust had no effect on him. Maybe it's because he absorbed Kikyo, thereby absorbing her miko aura into his blood making him immune to purification. No one's ever used this idea before. That could be another reason that Kag has been targeted, to absorb her and mix her aura with his blood except she has to be tainted first like Kikyo was. Her pure miko blood would purify him to dust. Since Naraku has targeted Kag, she could eventually be used as bait for luring Naraku into a trap once they are told this by Kanna. She wants Naraku dead for killing Kagura. Kanna can be free of Naraku since she was created with her heart intact. Of course during all this, Sess is struggling within himself because of his growing feelings for Kag and the danger she is constantly in. And definitely after it's all over with, she stays in the past as Sess's mate. I don't like endings that put her back in the future and poor Sess has to live 500 more years to meet up with her again. Argh! It seems I've wrote a book of ideas so I'd best stop for now. Hope you like some of them. I anxiously await your next update.

I really like it and I don't usually like stories that are in POV perspectives. I definitely look forward to reading more!

Good beginning. It needs something though. There is no basis for the war so far. Also why would naraku just attack her and try to rape her? Does she know him from somewhere? Why would a miko be involved in the war? My suggestion is that somehow she had known him in the past, perhaps she and kikyo are twins and he was her sisters love interest. In an attempt to get her because lets face it, neither of them would be truly interested in narku he started to try to gain power. Eventually it comes to a war between the east and the west. Kagome would be pulled into it because she hates Naraku. Maybe you should do the next couple of chapters as background to the first chapter. Then pick up again to Sesshomaru's question. Just my wondering thoughts...
