I find this one of the most interesting one-shots I've ever read in this pairing. You managed to span centuries of development and come up with an insightful theory behind the whole demon thing and Shikon no tama. Sesshoumaru's thoughts are actually quite funny, in the usual Sesshoumaru way. I enjoyed his thoughts on Buyo in particular. Still it must have been awful for Sesshoumaru to know that he was fading away just like that. And then there was the knowledge of what awaited the girl he had been protecting since birth. These were the aspects gave the story a real poignant feel. Overall, a beautifully written story. Thank you for sharing it.

Brava! That was excellent! Best I've read in years I think. If you don't win some sort of award next time they come up, it'll be a damned shame. It's good to see there are still some excellent writers in this fandom.
