I've read this story once before, and, I confess, I forgot about it.

Now that I'm reading it again, I recognize what WORK you must have put into the research. It's very well-written and descriptive!

Also: if you're looking for vampire books and have read Stephenie Meyer, try the Vampire Kisses series (Very, very good) or Scott Westerfield's PEEPS - more science-fiction-y than the average, but it's well-written and has MORE than enough thought put into it. I believe the manga series MODEL also is vampire-based, although I have not read it myself.

I am surprisingly enjoying this fic; usually I stay away from anything with vampires. One little thing bothers me though; a person is not 'hit' with jetlag. The way you word things make it almost seem like a disease of some sort. Jetlag is simply being tired and awake at the wrong times because of a difference in time zone. It's mostly a mental thing, as it is just your mind switching over to a different schedule. And frankly, seven hours isn't that bad, but I can see where you're coming from because Kagome has been awake for a while. I really do enjoy this fic, though, and I hope you continue with this until the end. I'll be looking forward to the next chapter!

I was able to pick a few words here and there that helped me at times to get the gist of what they were saying. Years ago I took some Spanish lessons but did not keep up with the language and am now very rusty at it. Still some of the Italian words had a similarity to them that I recognized. I'm still glad you put in the translations, though. Marzia comes across as very volotile and lively. She sounds exactly like what they need right now. I know it will probably take some time, but Kagome needs to take a breather from her sarcasm and really take a good look at Vampires as a race instead of as mindless, bloodthirsty beasts. Sure some are, but there are bad and good in all races. You can't judge them all by a few. I hope she in time comes to understand that Vampires, too, are a race with their own culture like any other. Ahem, I'll get off my soapbox now. Until next time, I await.

Thank you for your nice comments. I guess I overlooked the phobe hints. I never caught on. I admit I was beginning to get irritated at her for dragging her butt and not leaving right away. Now they don't have as big a head start. Along with a plan, you need plenty of time to execute it. I agree with you about the appropriate use for that book. I had to laugh. Sesshoumaru is right in what he said to Kagome about her being a killer like him. I'm glad the truth effected her. That could be the reason (or one of them) for her phobe. Maybe subconsciously she feels dirty from all the constant killing and really wants to cleanse her mind of all the memories. Am I correct in understanding that the germs from other people also included those involved in kissing and sex? If so, does that mean she's still a virgin? I like a virgin Kagome being "taught" by Sesshoumaru in the finer art of lovemaking. Don't I sound poetic? haha. Irregardless, when the time comes, he will have to find a way to overcome her phobe and make it disappear. At the end of the chapter, I was yelling: "It's about time you guys were leaving!"

Don't be reluctant about writing "filler" chapters. All stories need them to fill in the missing pieces. This was an important chapter. It showed her making an important life-changing decision. Also, Sesshoumaru is beginning to reluctantly have some naughty thoughts about Kagome. She already had some of her own after seeing him shirtless. I'm sure they'll still have their conflicts, all the way to the bedroom. heehee. My mind is naughty! I'm curious to see what you have in store for them. Is she going to go on the run with them to protect them? Will Sango and Miroku join her and eventually Shippo? The BIG question is will she eventually turn? I'm beginning to sound like the ending questions of your favorite daytime soap for the next episode. haha. I'm enjoying myself. I hope you are too.

I am so glad for the update and that you're back. Since my last review to you, I've come to appreciate review responses a lot more than I use to, so I agree, keep showing them. I've learned to appreciate the information in them. I don't know if you're religious or not but I will include you in my prayers.

I liked this chapter. The tensions between them was to be expected. I thought you handled it just fine. They're first meeting was adult and child. Now their both adults and on completely opposite sides. They've a lot against each that will need to be overcome before any romantic feelings come into play. Right now all they have is his feelings for the child he once saved and she feels she owes him for saving her life. She has always thought of him as her savior, never thinking that she would meet up with him in her trail of vengeance. I'm anxious to see how she's going to handle the situation from here. I had to laugh at all the thoughts Sesshoumaru was having about how to torture or get rid of her. I can just see them constantly snarling at each other in the beginning until Inuyasha finally tells them to get a room and settle their differences the old fashioned way. hahaha

Oh no!!!! How could you be so cruel? You left it at such an important and nerve wracking cliffie! And you've made it so much worse by not updating. It's been since August! Out of all the Sess/Kag stories I've read (which is quite a lot), this is just the second vampire plot I've given into and read. I like what you've done so far with the characters. One small complaint. I just wish half the chapters weren't taken up with review answers. I'm sorry, but I'm greedy. I want the whole chapter to be devoted to the story and that extra space filled with more of the story. When a story is good, I want nothing to detract from it.
