i'll admit it was kinda awkward reading some parts knowing that there was a HUGE age difference...but then i just put into the mindset that in the manga he's centuries older than her so its still pretty weird.
as a whole i have to say it was a fairly original idea. well written with not alot of mistakes. i think you kind of changed sesshoumaru's character a bit. he just seemed a little too sappy sometimes, i dunno maybe its just me. as for kagome i think you did a rather fantastic portrayal of her.
all in all brava, and congrats on being nominated.

I love your two stories, this one and its prequel! I must admit, your plot is a tad bit taboo, but lol, I have been there and done that, so it wasnt too big of a shock lol. Anyways, I loved the plot, and you developed the characters quite nicely. I LOVED how Jakotsu was! Lol, and Bankotsu too. Give your boyfriend lots of make up sex when you are well as there are so few guys that actually take care of their women today. I was blessed with a great guy and God knows he's been through quite a ride being with me. I really like this fic. I started reading it on one of the other sites and wanted to pound Sesshoumaru's head in for leaving her go and not staying in touch. My husband is 12 yrs older than me and I was 18 when we met. I wouldn't let him go that easy though. I knew he feared the age gap but he couldn't deny loving me and so this fic hits home for me and I can't wait to see how Rin reacts when they see one another face to face.

As to your story, I cannot hold you to the cannon as it is AU, nor can I say the characters are "in" or "out" because it is Alternate Universe. The plot line, however, is addictive and what keeps me focused is the how this very large social taboo is how its emotionally/socially dealt with. That is where the realism comes in. So far, I believe you. So far, the story is plausible.

I just got done reading DLS and NMS. While DLS was just a lot of fun as far as citrusy goodness is concerned, NMS looks like it is going to be a more emotional and character driven piece. I look forward to reading more of it in the future.
As far as NMS, I am somewhat surprised that Sess thought that he would be able to even talk with Kagome calmly, much less take her back into his bed with him. I am also somewhat surprised that Kagome is even thinking of going back with him....5 years versus 6 months - It seems that Kouga would have the distinct advantage.

First off, anyone who's going to lambast this story needs to get their head out of their arse. I love it as much as I loved the first installment. It's hot, tempting and...well...dirty! I applaud your decision to make Kouga sympathetic, both in his character and his concern for Kagome. Poor guy can never get a break, though, can he? *sniff* I do loves me some Kouga.

Alas...I loves me some Fluffinator more. I can't WAIT for the airport confrontation!!

And BTW, totally random aside, but do you ever venture to ytmnd.com? When you bust out with the "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" I nearly died laughing because it's a huge joke-fad on that website. Other than that, it's very clever allusion to Kagome's soon to be inquisition against Sess. He'd better run while the gettin's good, if he's got half a brain.

This is seriously one of my favorite stories! When I first started reading DLS I was pretty skeptical of the plot, but after the second or third chapter, I was hooked. I thought it would be all smut and no plot, but you proved me wrong without destroying all aspects of smuttiness. Hope you keep up with the sequel!

I read "Dirty Little Secret" not too long ago, but I never reviewed. I really think I should have, so I'll cover both stories with this one. I hope you can forgive me! Haha.

In you first story the painful and forbidden love between Kagome and Sesshoumaru was very well played out. The fact that Kagome and Rin were best friends added a totally different element to the story. Heartbreaking, really. I love how it ended and I'm so glad you decided to continue it with this piece!

I think it's a wonderful start to the sequel. As in many stories, I see you've gone with Kouga as the quasi-rebound guy. It's sad because I have a feeling I know what's going to happen, but I can't wait to see how you play this part of the story out to its fullest. I'm so excited for more! Thanks so much.
