When my friend recommended me this story, I have to admit - I was doubtful. It was nothing personal, it was just that I had just read a bunch of really terrible fics and her last two recs had been mediocre.

But you completely won me over. I totally believed the character developement because it was completely in character. I was really happy with how the plot developed at its own rate with no forced intercourse (coversational or otherwise) and your writing it clear and followable. You're a good writer and I enjoyed reading your story.

You gave both individuals character and U gave them class and so many want to degrade Kagome in so many ways and I like how you gave her hope and a way to protect herself. This was an amazing, teary ending to the first part. There was an exchange of great importance. An exchange of respect, honor, even friendship and trust. He even did battle with himself on whether to keep the Tetsaige(?) or not. HIs honor won out where before he would have seen his advantage and taken it. But he gave his word. That is what I love about Sesshomaru. Yes he is hot-hot-hot and yes he is rich and yes he is skilled and on and on and on...but he is also a protector, is strong, honorable, straight-forward and caring(in his own way). Those are the things to treasure.

Kagome is realizing this on a very deep level and it is slowly surfacing. Parting makes the heart grow fonder and I think they will both begin to see each other in a greater light.

Right now Kagome is proud of her accomplishments and proud of who taught them to her. Anybody else he would have killed on the spot.

She NEEDS someone to point out her faults. She too often ignores or brushes them off. I doubt 'Yasha will be pleased with her new skills. It will give him less of a chance to bluster and save her. An independent Kagome would go against his possessive instincts. Here's hoping that she keeps in practice and improves.

This story is just sweeping me off my feet and I cannot get enough. I love the way he doesn't back down for anything or anyone. He is NOT instantly willing to trust her but she is slowly making headway and makes the story interesting and almost addicting to follow. I am truly sad when the chapter is over.


I like that she is respecting his space and really tries not to annoy him except in the dojo. There all bets are off and he sees the real Kagome. I think the fact that she is thriving on his instruction and knowledge pleases him in a subconcious way and that is what is getting to him more than anything else. Then she is also devoted to Rin and Shippo and that is also a place where he respects her. He is also learning to respect her powers and her control of them since he is responsible for helping her with that as well.

THe thread of this story is so very strong and the characters are just like you are carrying on the series. I hope you are someone who likes to update often. I really look forward to them.

THis story was recommended by a fellow reader and I am SO GLAD she did. I love this story. You have nailed Sesshomaru right down to his toenails. You have got Kagome dead to rights also but Sessh is almost hypnotic in his arrogance.

He is crafty, sneaky, underhanded, honorable, intense, charasmatic and obnoxious. I love him.

I also admire the pace of the story. He is not going to do anything unless he benefits from it and benefits more than anybody else. While there is a possibility for romance somewhere down the lane, it is building up very slowly, almost without their knowing it. You are quite masterful in weaving this tale and I cannot wait for more.

Still a nice, gradual progression in the SessKag relationship. I'm glad to see both of them be themselves and yet grow. Though personally, it's hard to tell who needs to grow more in their particular areas. As for Sess' worries about the future use of her powers, I don't see her as a threat to any youkai unless they threaten first. She's no 'kill them all' crusader. She has more sense than that. And as always, my personal hope for pure Inu pups and no unstable, immature, insecure hanyou.
