I'll take a stab at a few of these questions...


1. If you count the movies (I don't remember which one), Kagome wears it so that she is 'herself'... at least according to her mom, who brings her a school uniform for her to wear instead of the much warmer miko garb she'd been changed into after hers was destroyed or bloodied or something.

2. She doesn't keep it clean. In the manga, vol 7, scroll 7, she wears street clothes to school because her uniform 'got kinda bloody'... the worst rheumatism they'd ever heard of.

4. Just speculation, but it is made from demon fur. It may have healing properties of some sort still-- big stretch, I know.

10. I believe this is again from a movie, but while Sango carries it lightly, when Miroku attempts to carry it, he staggers and drags it for a moment.

20. Again, just spec, but probably because he doesn't have time to stay somewhere while hunting for Naraku in an attempt to prolong his currently short life-span.

27. I wish I knew, it drives me nuts. Also, they changed HIM into a girl... as long as vis does an accurate translation, anyway.

29. Because the anime is much tamer than the manga. In the manga Kagome's visibly half-nude on occassion, and there is a lot more blood. Oddly enough in the anime, most things don't bleed unless Sango's the one to kill them.

32. Volume 15-16 of the manga, Koharu. While she didn't outright say she would bear his children, there was definately that inference in the whole 'I'm (however old that was still younger than Kagome) now, we can be together!' And when they start to leave her behind in a new village, Miroku wants to leave lest she find herself with a constant reminder that will keep her pining after him forever.

35. Poor Shippo. He did become a snail-like bow for Kagome against the Thunder brothers, and has helped carry them on occassion, though he does noteably lose strength before getting them to their destination (case in point, the peach man in vol 9).
