Oh my gosh, have you been busy! So sorry I've not kept up, but my husband became seriously ill and we almost lost him. It took 10 days in the hospital and alot of pain and anguish for us all, but he's getting better quickly and we're grateful to our loving God. No need for depressing details, he back on the road to recovery and I'm back trying to play catch up with my multitude of fics.
You have seriously been doing a phenominal job with this. I had to go back several chapters to remember where I left off and I've got to say I'm happy with how you terminated InuMama. Kagome was doing justice by killing her and it wasn't as if she murdered her in cold blood like InuMama did to young Yuki. Now that was a tragedy that had me in literal tears through the whole thing. I was just hoping this wouldn't darken Kagome's soul to a point that she would lose herself to it.
I really enjoyed the battle scenes. You did an amazing job. I was right up there flying watching as Sesshoumaru and Ryoma fought. I could actually feel their rage and hate for each other's species. What happened to Ryoma's daughter was sad and very wrong in the sense that she was raped forcing her to transform into hate and anger. She was also part inu and maybe if she was rescued before the rape she could have had a chance, but then I thought that if she lived and her father was killed they would all have to deal with her feelings about this and as all children grow, she would probably want to know her ryu half where they would turn her against the inu in time. Sad though.
I loved Tora. His power to freeze anything was just great and a very powerful and useful advantage when fighting with fire. InuYasha really stepped up with his brother. Kagome and InuPapa's desire to have them fight and live as true brothers worked out, especially when they used both swords to hold back the fire from Ryoma. It's a pun, but that really was some hot stuff you had going on there.
I do have a question if you don't mind. Did they bury Yuki because that's how Kagome wanted it? I was to believe that during those times the Japanese burned their dead, i.e. Kikyou. Just a thought.
Anyway, I had a seeking suspicion that the ryu clan wasn't going to just sit by for too long when their fearless leader hadn't shown up or made some kind of contact and that was one of the most ingenious plans to start a war. When Ryoma was "Lord of the West" by marriage to Siera, it's understandable that anyone of his clan or even himself kept or stolen a legal notary seal of the west. And I horrayed when Sesshoumaru and Shippou were able to convince that soldier of their innocense and with his backing they were able to convince the Emporer that someone(being the Ryu) was trying to start a war that would eliminate the western Lord and King. (which they only wanted to do to exact revenge for all the years that their families fought for dominance) The Ryu didn't even think that they, too, would eventually be emilinated because only Kagome, Sesshoumaru and a few trusted ones knew that youkai would be exstinct in Kagome's future beginning around this time period.
Well, my friend, I know I've given you an earful that you already know because you wrote it and again I'm sorry I couldn't keep up, but between my own disabilities(too many and complicated to say and then my husband retiring alitlle early thinking that he could also work a PT job but got sick faster than we all knew what to think and we hadn't the money until this year when he turned 65 and qualified for medicaid as a back up to Medicare. What a mess in more paper work than you'd care to keep up with, believe me. Everyone always wanting you to repeat your story over and over until you feel that maybe I should just type up a speech and duplicate it in case it's a bad day and we forget something important, you know?
Thanks for your wonderful writing. I do so love reading these and one day, you and I will have to talk about speaking in different tenses as it does confuse at times but I, myself have learned to overlook such things and put the right tenses where they belong. Otherwise, I bow to your talents as I, myself, have none even as close to what you have done here. Only the dreams I have that quickly fade away as I wake fully. Thanks once again for doing this, without you, people like me would have no adventures to go on and feel as though they are a part of the story. I really needed your fic tonight and the good cry hit home and was welcomed as I hadn't crried for my own situation privately. God Bless and until the next time as I'm not finished catching up yet!
Love, gentle hugs and gratitude for giving me something to hang on to when life seems immpossible. JEN, alias Tana_san
