hmm i dunno about dogs hating the sound of vacuums. I dont think they care much, unless the dog has some extreme fear issues with loud sound.  

I had a dog that could care less if you vacuum around him. Sometimes he just stare at it and you have to push him with it to get him to move off of the rug.  Also didnt mind too much if you used the pet attachment and vacuum him... cause of the hair.

ahahhahaha the title of this story totally does it justice, i think he should win against the household item every now and then
