Hello again :) As I stated before I am your fan so don't be supprised when I'll writing a review now and then.
I liked how this chapter described Sesshoumaru that is thinking about love, is tempted by it and at some level is already crawing it'. Usually (as in other fanfics) Love is something that happens to him - something that he takes as it is or something he fights with. But rarely thinks about.
Vou's review made me realise that I also like the humour in your fic. I mean - i had to re-read the part 'Ah, that would be me' at least 3 times. It was hilarious! But of course other parts are also. That one has just happened to be my favourite one :)
Angelic memories also mentioned something I has been thinking about since I've read this fic. Kagome's diary and Sesshoumaru's thoughts are often so similar. I find ir rather.... annoying.... sometimes. Although it is a nice indicator that they might be soul mates it also makes me wonder - isn't it to convenient? And when thinking about convenient stuff. The entries quite often have stories that Sesshoumaru took part in. They didn't meet so often so I find it a little stretched. But overall I don't mind it so much.
I also remembered that I love the relationship between Kagome and Kikyo. You picture it as something very complex. You also don't try to 'black' one character in order to make other one a better one. You obviously are not a Kikyo hater. For me it is a plus. Former couples don't have to hate each other to move on with their lives and love. I am very curious how you will explore Kikyo - Kagome relationship.
Good luck with your writing :)
XDDDD
I was sooooooooooooo going to wait to leave a review until the end, but when Kagome told her rendition of her encounter with Kouga, I finally lost it when Sesshomaru said '....lucky bastard.' Oh Kami, I'm tearing up coz I'm laughing so hard! I seriously enjoyed this and will be sure to mention it to ElegantPaws to read (if she hasn't already) coz she loves humour. It's one of the necessities in a good fanfic. Good job. And I love how Sesshomaru is so tortured coz it's obvious he's developing an attachment to the Miko by simply seeing things from her vantage point. <3
To be perfectly honest I wouldn't read your fanfic if it wasn't recomended as I've already read an original one. But what a surprise! And from the very begining! Your writing style is so vivid and colorful, not flat at all. It's, hmm, like a good cup of spiced fruit drink - the kind my mum does - when you think you' ve got all flavours recognized, there is something more to discover.
So anyway, I'm definitely your fan. I think that plot is very good, and the idea with ragged diary and as a result few entries is to my liking (I am not sure if it was in original one). I also like how Kagome is jumping from one time to another - this is how human mind works, at least for me. Doesn't it for us all?
Sesshoumaru is sometimes a little bit OOC and at the very begining his comments were anoying but after a while I decided it's ok as long as nobody notices - except readers :) . What I mean, he is so expresionless and stoic in anime and manga so the total change would be weird. On the other hand the idea of Him having many different feelings opens so many opportunities. He is quite cute :)
I also like that he is not so much demonic. I really detest the inner demon-self concept that have linear, vulgar mind (My bitch!, get the bitch etc). Don't get me wrong - your Sesshoumaru is not a copy of a human mind. That was indicated in a love making scene and I like it. I am really curious how his character and demonic culture will be explored and explained. I also want to know more of Kagome. The more fanfics I read the weakest she seems or quite the contrary, super hero she becomes. I dislike both, the former and the latter. So I am very eager to read more about her. But maybe I want to much?
Hopefuly, we - all of your fans will soon have occasion to read more :)
Good luck and please keep writing!
Ps: I forgot to mention another thing I admire. I don't feel a lot of american (or western) culture in your work. Sometimes autors by accident contain a lot of it, even when they try to avoid it. I am not certain if you would understand but I hope it will stay that way. Kagome and her world is 'eastern' and I don't mean the customs etc but rather outlook on life and a specific mood.
