This is such a wonderful piece. I especially like the conversation with Touga. We all tend to look back at parts of our past for difficult entry reasons and idealized them. I make that same mistake. You're right. We'll never be that person again.

This story is inspiring. I went through a similar situation with my daughter's father, but it never got to the physical abuse. Mostly because I threatened him with some choice country roads, but it would have. Now I have to deal with him for the rest of our lives, just because he wouldn't let me get on bc and he would use the rain coat. So this story is now a personal favorite of mine, please continue.

I'm so glad to see an update to this story.  I'm usually not a big fan of AU fics, but you have a real talent for keeping the characters true in spirit to canon. I look forward to watching this Kagome go through her triumphs and her set backs as she learns to value herself again. You may even be able to encourage someone to go through their own.

Yeah! Another chapter. I love how Kagome is working out the pain of her trauma and betrayal with her support system. I also like how Touga made sure to state that in power her and Sess are equals. They are perfect for each other.
